This software is easy to use, because it's part of Microsoft Word. The best part is how it formats the view of the page and the comments in such a legible way. I can easily email the edited document to students (using Outlook, anyway), and voice recording is part of the toolbar. Quick and easy to install. I'm not sure if I'll try the pay version...this one is really good.

Hi, It seems that a final grade annotation feature would be helpful. Does it exist and I just don't see it? I would like to be able to put a final grade in nice, big, red, alphanumeric at the top of the page. Let me know. Thank you. Scott

We've just released v2.0 of Annotate for Word 2007, and it does include inline text automation to make it easy to add a specific grade, and potentially an overall description of that grade, with one click.
Currently the formatting is double-underline in purple...but it really sticks out.
You won't see this in the free version of Annotate, but you can see it in the demo on our website: 11trees.com.
