I teach kindergarten and have literacy stations. This book seems as though it might be a good book to have on hand. Does this book give ideas how to make the various games, etc.? Are the ideas in the book easy to make and follow? Thanks for your help!

This book is a awesome book! It does give you ideas for games and activities. Here is an example of how an activity would read (activity chosen at random).
Write the room:
Choose six letters, write each one inside asmall box on the letter card reproducible, and reproduce the filled-in chart for the class. Distribute letter card reproducibles, pens, and clipboards. Invite children to tour an "write the room", copying any word displayed in the box that shows its first lette.
There is also an illustration of the activiy under the description. As well as a list of materials and the page where it can be found.
If you have any other questions please let me know.
