The main focus of the teacher reading binder, is exactly what it says, you will be organizing all the materials into a binder. It goes along with any reading program. We developed this file before common core was implemented, so no, it does not correlate. However, it is our mission this summer to take a look at how the CCSS directly correlate with our binder. Thanks so much for your question. If you are looking for a file correlated to common core...this will not be the best file for you. We have to tackle the alignment to common core and reading workshop this summer. This gives more information for the teacher about the structure, routine, and format to reading workshop. There are not a lot of in depth reading mini-lessons, we just list a lot of ideas for how to get RW up and running in your classroom. (E.G. Choosing a just right reading spot, recording your books read in a log.)

Hi! That is a great question! You can start it at any time of the year and duration that you implement the 'staches is completely up to you! For example, I started the 'staches over a month ago, and I still have the bulletin board up, the GR board, and I am still meeting with my groups, using the 'stache props. I hope that helps!

Are you using a Mac by chance? Newer PDFs can't be seen properly with Preview. To fix this, you need to download the latest version of Adobe Reader (Adobe Reader X) and use that to open it (a Mac will automatically open it with Preview if you don't say otherwise). So, in your Finder Window, highlight the file and then click on the tool in the top of the Finder Window that looks like a sprocket then choose Open With and then Other and then select Adobe Reader. I was looking at your site and found the guided reading guru pack to purchase however then I saw the teacher reading binder ultimate resource... Which one would I be better off buying? The reading binder does that include the guided reading guru resources? Is this correct? If I purchase the ultimate binder one, will I need to purchase additional add on parts or is this currently the updated and current version?

Any chance you can create an 'editable' resource? You can change the PDF to a Microsoft Word format quite easily as well.
This would save you the time to manually change the spelling as you mentioned in a response to another customer.

To fix this, you need to download the latest version of Adobe Reader (Adobe Reader X) and use that to open it (a Mac will automatically open it with Preview if you don't say otherwise). So, in your Finder Window, highlight the file and then click on the tool in the top of the Finder Window that looks like a sprocket then choose Open With and then Other and then select Adobe Reader.

Thank you for your purchase! Do you have a Mac, by chance? Do you have the latest version of Adobe Reader? Also, is there any way that you can print out of of the pages that are blurry, to see if it prints out that way?

The add on file includes the cover pages, venn diagram, etc. If you just want to make the reading binder, we have a file for just the cover pages for the reading binder. It just depends what you are looking for.

I'm not a teacher, but I do a lot of work with my daughter and her cousin at home. I would like to know if this is something I can implement at home for the two kids. They are in 1st grade. My daughter has already made great strides in reading. She went from a DRA2 leverl 6 to a level 21 since September, but I want her to continue to improve. Is this something I could use as well?

I was wondering if it possible to have an EDITABLE version of the student led conference out of the box? We are not yet common core, on our way, and have not hit some of your benchmarks - Let me know! Thank you again for all your hard work and creativity! Thank you for your purchase and your kind words!! They are greatly appreciated. I am sorry to tell you that I am not able to send you an editable version of the conferences. Not only is it against the copyright policies for the clipart that we purchased, but if you do not have a font that we used in the file downloaded to your computer, then it will come across as "jumbled." However, you should still be able to do what you need to do with the powerpoint file that you purchased. All you need to do is click "enter text box" and then select the font that you want. I hope that you find that for the majority of the pages, you should be able to do that.

Hi, I have just been looking at the Venn Diagram part of the product (which I absolutely adore). However, I just noticed that a couple of the "job descriptions" are missing the word "to" or "be". Could this get fixed please? The ones that need to be fixed are:
"It is my job select the book that we will reading during our guided reading group" and
"It is my job have all the necessary materials ready". Thanks in advance!
