I completed my Masters of Elementary Education through the University of Phoenix online campus in the fall of 2010. I completed my student teaching in IA with a 5th grade class. I have additional experience interacting with students of all ages and grades from elementary to adult, through observation, volunteering and past employment. I currently hold a Nebraska Educator’s Certificate/Permit and am working within an early childhood development center.

I am a firm believer that deep down everyone wants to give their best. However, sometimes "things" get in the way. I strive to find a positive connection with my students so that I can assist them with their learning.

I am also the mom to two wonderful children. My son Lukas is 20 yrs old and lives in IA. He plans to return to college Spring semester to pursue his dream of Music Education and be a high school choir director. My daughter Alicia is 5 yrs old and lives at home (we've decided she can wait for her own place for awhile). She started Kindergarten this year as she is pursuing a career as a veterinarian ,zoo keeper, chief and pillow maker.
