I found this unit to be a bit disappointing. You mentioned the kids writing in a reflective journal. It would have been nice if you could have included a template of a journal page for those of us who may not already have science journals. It would also have been nice if you could have made a more visually appealing product with kids friendly activity sheets that went along with each of your hands-on activity ideas.

I really like that you have all the SLO's, GLO's and Assessment's laid out for each lesson. The only thing that got to me was that that all of the necessary resources weren't included. Ex. Specific handouts were mentioned in the lesson plan but were not attached. Still, for the price this is a great resource for helping to plan out the unit.

This smartboard lesson was excellent. I read the book to my grade 3 students and they completely understood the difference between fancy and plain words. This was an excellent lesson on word choice and I will continue to use the "Fancy Nancy" books to complete my word choice unit. Thanks for the resource!!

It opens up to download, however when the next screen comes up it says that adobe reader cannot open as it does not recognize the file as an attachment to a e-mail or it is a corrupted file. I have purchased quite a lot of items on this site and have never encountered this problem before.

In the description, you list a book....is this read ON the smartboard slide or does the teacher need the paper copy of the picture book? Thanks! (i'm in an isolated overseas area and have difficulty finding many books so i need to ensure that I can get this book--if necessary--before I can buy this lesson!)
