I love the list of suggested series for the different grades. I may have to adjust in a few years to adapt to common core standards, but it is great to give to students and I love the idea of the challenge.

I purchased your summer reading challenge K-5 download, and I LOVE it! I would, however, like to make some modifications to meet the needs of my school and students. Do you mind if I post a modified version on my blog for students to download in case they lose theirs over the summer? I'll be sure to give full credit online and on the actual PDF as well.

I would prefer that you put a notice like this on your blog with the reading challenge: "This summer reading challenge was purchased for download and use by students at _______ Elementary School. If you are a teacher or librarian at a different school, please respect the efforts of the fellow educator who created this and purchase your own copy at http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Summer-Reading-Challenge-K-5-with-book-lists." That way, just in case someone from the general public (not your school) stumbles onto your blog, they (hopefully) won't download it without paying for it. If you would like for me to send you a plain Power Point version of the challenge without the clip art (since I can only share that in a pdf), send me an email at library centers at gmail.com. That would be easier for you to edit.

Magbri, the reason the sheets are locked is because the clip art designers require it. They don't want anyone to be able to cut or copy the images without paying the artist for it. I'm not trying to make it difficult for you, just complying with their terms of use. I am working on correcting the title of Al Pha's Bet. You will get an email when it's complete. I'm not able to add a blank line before the parent signature. Although it looks like it would fit, it forces the words onto another page.

The author for Alpha's Bet is Amy Krouse Rosenthal. I am at my state library conference, and don't have my laptop with me. I will take a look at the files and see if there is space to add more room between list and signature when I return home on Sunday.
