I have been a World Language teacher for 15 years, primarily in the secondary schools, although I have limited experience in the elementary grades as well. I currently serve as a curriculum specialist for World Langauge in my district of 17 schools. I also have a background in Political Science and teach a class called, "Global and International Studies." I currently serve as an educational consultant and curriculum leader for 18 schools and special services programs, focusing on project-based learning, assessment and classroom management.
Performance-based assessments; Our schools collect and track data on oral proficiency using a modified version of the ACTFL guidelines.
I have received the Connecticut Celebration of Excellence Award for teaching.
