I just bought the Life Cycle of a Plant resource and am excited to use it, however, when I downloaded it, many of the instructions did not show up and there are lines (red/black thick lines) that mark the pages where it is supposed to be blank for the children to write. This is not the quality I expected for $10. What can you do for me to improve the quality of this product, or refund the money? Thanks.

It sounds like you are either opening with an old version of Adobe Reader or if you have a Mac, you may be opening it with a Mac program called "Preview" and not even know it. On a Mac you will also need the latest version of Adobe Reader. Then be sure to check that you are opening it with "Open With" rather than "Preview". Be sure to check as sometimes opening a file in "Preview" is set as the default. This usually fixes the problem, but if you need further help please don't hesitate to email me at kamp.linda@gmail.com.

Why couldn't one set of posters show the comparison between the measurements? I was a little disappointed in that there were two sets of posters in the kit. Why would I need to pay for two sets of the same item? I Can print however many copies of the poster I need for my students. As a paraprofessional, who makes very little but enjoys her job, I found the extra copies of the poster a waste of my money. Now I feel I need to take more of my time to make up a comparison chart to supplement this.

It is very important to download the preview so that you can see exactly what is included in the file as well as the specific types of anchor charts. That way you can determine if it is something you can use in your classroom and wish to purchase.
After posting this product I had a several requests for the Canadian and Australian spellings of meter/metre, centimeter/centimetre so I added additional pages with those spellings at no extra cost to the buyer. I was also very careful to add this as the first line of the product description: "**Note: This is the metric version of Measurement: Connecting Tools, Units, and Types of Measure. It now includes anchor charts and student recording sheets with the US, Canadian, and Australian spellings: meters, centimeters, and millimeters as well as metres, centimetres, and millimetres. "

Not all schools have them, but you might check with your district to see if they have a set. They've been a great resource for me to use in my literacy centers!

I've been a primary teacher for 17 years. Currently teaching second grade, I've also taught Kindergarten and first grade. Teaching is a wonderfully creative outlet for me and I teach my kiddos that their creativity is contagious! We can think, learn, and achieve outside of the box!
