On the speech bubbles the one for a cone is not correct. It should have 1 vertex. On the answer key cylinder and cone should be switched.

My students loved this activity!

Hi Linda,
I love your products. I bought your Life Cycle of Plants unit because it is so perfect for what I am doing in my classroom but I have tried to download it on two separate computers at home and at school and it only prints the first two pages. Can you help me with what I might be doing wrong?
Thank you so much.

Hi Kat, Thanks so much for your purchase and I'm so sorry you're having trouble printing. There is an easy fix for this problem. First, you will need the latest version of Adobe Reader to open the file. You can find it here: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5138. It sounds like you are either opening with an older version of Adobe Reader or if you are on a MAC, you may be opening it with a Mac program called "Preview" and not even know it. On a MAC, make sure you are opening in "Open With" rather than "Preview". Often "Preview" is the default setting so be sure to check that.
If that doesn't work, try this advice from TpT Tech Support:

1) Open the PDF file with the newest version of Adobe Reader
2) Click 'print'
3) Click on 'advanced'
4) Check the 'print as image' box, and this should cover all potential issues
If after taking these steps you are still having trouble printing you can submit a ticket to TPT Support. They are wonderful and can help you further. You can do this by scrolling down to the bottom of the homepage and clicking on "Contact Us'.

Hi I have purchased the what does the shape say pack and I think its great.I just wondered if it could be edited to show the word trapezium rather than "trapezoid" as in the UK we say it/write it differently? I am not allowed to use resources that use American spellings for obvious reasons! We say/write colour, favourite, etc and some maths terms are slightly different too.

Hi Linda! I know my kids are going to flip when I introduce them to this activity tomorrow! They LOVE the song! I was wondering if you ever do an update if you could make an alternate cover for the "What Does the Shape Say?" booklet for the solid shapes? We have to teach them as 3D Figures so it would be great if you could make a "What Does the Figure Say? version. Hi! My question is about the "What does the shape say?" product. First of all, I love this and I can't wait to use it this week. Is there an error on page 39? The page is part of the 3-D shapes booklet. It has the cute fox and asks: "What does the cuboid say?" I wondered if it was supposed to say cuboid and the picture does not look like a cube, but like a rectangular prism. Thanks!

Hi Shelby,
Thanks so much for purchasing my plant unit! I'm sorry you're having trouble printing it. Do you have the latest version of Adobe Reader? You will need that to open most files that contain lots of graphics as these tend to "clog" printers. Also, are you by chance on a MAC? If so, you may be opening it with a MAC program called "Preview" and not even know it. On a MAC, make sure you are opening in "Open With" rather than "Preview". Often "Preview" is the default setting so be sure to check that.

Unfortunately, I don't sell the individual activities separately. The author study includes activities for the HM story Little Grunt and the Big Egg as well, which you may also be able to use, but they are all included in the unit as a whole. Hi there!
Thanks so much for purchasing my Plant Life Cycle unit. I'm sorry you are having trouble printing it. There is an easy fix for this problem, though.

My friend Jamie Rector also has an excellent blog post with a tutorial on how to solve this very issue. You can find it here: http://2ndgradestuff.blogspot.com/2013/04/help-i-cant-save-or-print-my-tpt-file.html

If after you have tried this you are still having trouble, please let me know at kamp.linda@gmail.com.
Thank you again for visiting my store!

Hi - I downloaded the Mayflower math packet with the corrections, but it looks as though there is still one to be corrected. One of the sails on Build a Ship shows 322 in place value blocks, but it should be 312.

Hi Maria,
Thanks so much for your purchase. There are no templates for the legs and neck piece. Those are simply strips of black and blue construction paper you cut. You can find the sizes you will need to cut them in the directions on page 6. I hope this helps and your kiddos enjoy it!

Hi Linda,
So these go with the Phonics Readers that are separate from the hard cover book? Where do the stories come from?
Thanks!

Hi there! These packs go with the vocabulary readers (not the phonics readers) which are a separate piece of the curriculum. Check to be sure you have them before you purchase, though. I've had lots of emails from teachers who say they use them without the actual vocabulary readers since they target the same story vocabulary found in the hard cover stories, but you would have to decide that.

You can find info about the vocabulary readers in your teacher's guide on each lesson's 'Lesson Overview' page. It is under #2 Background and Vocabulary.

I hope this helps!

The Pilgrims and Pirates Math download that I purchased has printing disabled. I have downloaded the latest version of Adobe and it still will not allow printing. The document has security enabled which disables printing. I am using Adobe XI (latest version) running Windows 7. If there is not a fix for this I would like a refund.
Thank You

Hi there! Thanks so much for purchasing my Stellaluna unit. I'm sorry you are having trouble saving it. Most files on TPT are 'secured' to follow the terms of use from the graphic artists as well as to protect the file from being changed. This just prevents the graphics from being copied and pasted and the text from being edited. You don't need a password to save or print and there is an easy fix for the problem you are describing. Hi Shelley,
I'm so sorry but I'm not sure why you're being asked for a code to save the document. Can you try saving it to your desktop first and then saving it to your flash drive? Also, do you have the latest version of Adobe Reader? You can find it here:http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5138. You will need the latest version to open the file.

If that doesn't work TPT support is wonderful and will get back to you very quickly if you submit a ticket. You can do that by scrolling to the bottom of the home page and clicking 'Contact Us'. I wish I could be of more help but I honestly don't know the answer beyond the steps I mentioned. Please email me at kamp.linda@gmail.com if you still need help, but I know TPT support will take care of you.

Hi Linda, I have searched everywhere to try and email this to you without posting it, but can't find a direct email address. I was going to buy the Word word work packet for HM's seconds theme and noticed that in Around the Pond word sorts you call them diagraphs as opposed digraphs (ck, th, ch etc...). Has this been updated to digraphs before I purchase? I just love your product. Thank you!

Hi there!
I'm so glad you like the Stellaluna unit! I have a Tomie dePaola author study that includes loads of activities for many Tomie books and lots of activities that can be used with any of the Strega Nona series. You can find it here: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Tomie-dePaola-An-Author-Study
I also wrote a four-part blog series on how I use the author study in my classroom that might give you lots of ideas. You can find Part 1 here: http://aroundthekampfire.blogspot.com/2013/04/teaching-with-tomie-depaola-books-part.html

Yes, there are activities that align to 3rd grade Common Core RL.1 and RL.3. Please be sure to download the preview though, so you can see exactly what is included in the file and then determine if it is something you can use in your classroom.
I hope this helps, and thanks so much for asking!

I was wondering if there was any way that I could get these activities with the words my district has chosen. Our tiered words are different so they don't work for my district. I plan on sharing your stuff with them so they can buy too. I love them but they do not match. I didn't know if there was a blank template you had or make one with our words for all the Themes. Let me know! Thanks!

Hi Danielle,
I pull up the PDF on my laptop, project the actual PDF onto my SMARTBoard, choose the pages I want to work with, and write directly on the SMARTBoard in the graphic organizers. You can see an example in this blog post: http://www.aroundthekampfire.blogspot.com/2012/11/pigeon-fun-thanksgiving-style.html
