Christine Y. re: Second Grade Math Games ~ Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down?
Looks very interesting. Question: is there a feature for students to check their answers? If used in a station, is there a way for them to know if they're correct or to record their answers? Thanks.

Sorry, Christine, but not at this time. I'm exploring a few options in answer keys, though, so watch for updates!
Thanks for your question!

Edit (15 minutes later...): Okay, I've got it! Watch for an update by Saturday night. Thanks for giving me the boot I needed on this one! :)

Hey Linda, I wanted to download your preview from the "10 Scoot games for Common Core math." Unfortunately, when I tried to print the game, the cards were aligned to print full screen and they printed on half sheets. There was a warning that my browser didn't fully support printing the product but there wasn't any information to help me know what to do. I really like your product and my kids enjoy the scoot games but I'm hesitant to purchase until I know what I need to do to be able to print the cards off correctly. Thank you for getting back to me on this. Meanwhile, the product is on my wish list! Stacy

Thanks for your note, Stacy. I just printed the preview and had no problems. However, I know that the browser can be an issue. Far be it from me to offer technical advice, so your best bet is to go to the bottom of my store page or the TPT home page and check the FAQs for printing problems, or simply contact Technical Support on this one - they are great and usually get back to you quickly.
Hope this helps!

Oh my goodness! I would greatly appreciate that! Although I have just found your "Spiderweb" Word Wall activity that is very similar to the "Box Full of Donuts", my kids are already used to the "Box Full of Donuts" one that I would love to get another copy from you!

Sorry to trouble you when it has been added into your "purchasable activity packet.
Thank you once again!

Where can i find the "Box Full of Donuts" Word Wall activity sheet? I had downloaded it before and I can't find it! I had pinned it to my pinterest too but I'm having trouble locating it to the exact address. I believe it was a freebie! Please help me out! My students loved the activity!

Hi, Jane! "Box Full of Donuts" is part of Word Wall Partner Activities, http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Word-Wall-Partner-Activities-150763. If you purchased the set, you can re-download it. If you didn't, please leave me a note here with your email and I'd be glad to send the donut game out to you, because I do recall that once upon a time it was part of a free package! :)
Happy to help - glad your students liked the game! :)

Not a question but just letting you know I was going to leave feedback but the form wasn't there to do so- this is exactly something I need for my word wall. That station was going nowhere fast and this will definitely help! Thank you for sharing!

How strange that the form wasn't there! It was so kind of you to leave your note here instead, Shibahn. I agree - the Word Wall activities can get kind of stale around this time of year. I'm so glad these games will help you pep things up again!

Your 'Word Wall/Secret Box' game is confusing. It says the players take turns filling in the box with words from the walls, then when they are all full you roll the dice and the number on the dice indicates which is the secret box, and then the person that put the word in the box wins??? Wouldn't both players have a word in the box that has the same number as the dice, since they took turns filling in the boxes until they were full? I'm confused

Both players are sharing one board, so only one player will have written the word in the winning box. I thought that it was clear from the list of what players would need for the game, but perhaps I need to go back and add something about "sharing" to clarify it.
Thanks for your question - hope that helps!

Buyer re: Programmable Game Boards, with Suggestions for Your Gr.2-3 Curriculum
Are these gameboards editable? . . . I mean, could I add text to the gameboards themselves or just customize the cards that go with the game? Just wondering!

Sorry, but they're not. Making an editable PDF isn't on my skills list yet. Maybe someday soon! ; ) What you can do is just print, laminate, and use a wipe-off pen to add whatever you need to both the boards and the cards.

Linda,

See you're busy working being snowed in! It is snowing right now and we have had 70 inches of snow already. The kids are playing right now out in the snow. I like your "Building Sentences: St. Patrick's Day" resource. I just download a "Water Photo Digital Papers for Commercial Use" and saw your resource.

70 inches - wow, that's hard to get my mind around! Our winter has been a rollercoaster of snow and cold, but being near the coast seems to have kept our totals much below most, only a bit over a foot over numerous snowfalls, with the biggest being about six inches. It's snowing right now, but the prediction is for only an inch or two.
Anne, I just looked at the preview and your water photos are lovely! Maybe you need to become the next Snowflake Bentley and start taking pictures of the crystals! :)

Kaitlin W. re: 100 Riddles for the Hundred Chart
Thanks for your response! I looked over the intermediate packet and that is probably too hard, but with reading both of your packets primary and intermediate, it has given me ideas of how to tweak it to make it work for my class! I have a high class this year, so it's a bit low for my class, but I am sure in the future with a different class, it will be the right fit. I am appreciate to have the ideas and on how to word such a problem. I can easily change the numbers. I really appreciate your willingness to send the other products. Thanks for your help!

Hi, Linda!
This game set includes a set of short vowel cards and coordinating game boards, and a set of long vowel word cards, also with six coordinating boards. In other words, each set has enough boards for six players to use it in your small groups.

Here are the directions, as printed in the download:

*In small group instruction: Give each student a card and a handful of tokens to use as covers. As you hold up a card, students read it aloud together and then look on their own boards for another word with the same rime. The first to cover all 8 words on his or her board wins. Shorter version: First to get 3 in a row wins.
* In a literacy center: This is a game for 2-4 players. Students need a set of tokens to use as board covers. To play, put all cards face down in a pile in the center of the playing area. The first player turns over the top card and checks his own board to find another word with the same rime. If he has a word, he says, “I know a word like that!”, says the 2 words aloud, and uses a token to cover the word on his board. He then puts the word card on a discard pile. If he doesn’t have a word with the same rime, he puts the card on the discard pile and play continues. The first player to cover all of the words on his or her card wins.

Thanks so much for asking this question... you've inspired me to go back and add some details to my product description!

I'm glad you like the Ladybug game!

Here are 2 more short vowel games at my store.

http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Short-Vowel-CVC-Words-Blizzard-Boulevard-Game

Both of these games address all of the vowels. Your question has given me another item for my "to do" list - separate gameboards for each vowel. Thanks!

What a good question, Shannon! I can see why you might think that, but the answer is actually "no". I just gave the snowmen random goofy names!
Here's the deal: You are hereby authorized to write the book. But when you get it published, I hope you'll include my graph in it! :)

Thanks!
