I'm proud to have been a teacher for 26 years, with the majority of my experience being in first grade. I taught Reading Recovery for 5 years, and that experience impacted every day of my teaching since! For the last 10 years of my career, I enjoyed teaching a first grade literacy intervention class. It has also been my privilege to present various workshops on literacy topics at the local, state, and national level. My goal is to ignite a passion for reading and writing in young learners.
