We just finished Stargirl and this unit enabled my tier 2 freshman to connect with the themes presented in the novel easily and make personal correlations. This was a great unit.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Lindsay Woodard has been teaching middle school English and U.S. history and high school English (in both independent and public settings) since 1997.
MY TEACHING STYLE
Heavy focus on reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. Lots of cooperative learning, appeals to the multiple intelligences, and student choice in assignments. Everything we do in my middle-school classes is with an eye on preparing my students for high-school level work.
