Amurray22 re: Measurement Clip It Center for Non-Standard and Standard
Hi Lindsey....I just bought the clip it math center for measurement. It looks adorable but I have found that the measurements do not work. I tried standard paper clips... unifix cubes, and measuring with inch worms. They do not work out to a whole number? I was wondering if you have found this with other people? Thank you. -Ashley Amurray@ledyard.net

Hi Ashley the clip-it's are made to measure exactly to the size when used with #1 size small paper clips placed end to end not hooked(not the jumbo clips), unifix cubes need to be connected together in a "train", and the plastic inch worms that hook together in a "train" to measure. My students are using them right now in my classroom for measurement and they should be exact. I'll email you additional details.

Love the Non-fiction text cards, but found 3 typos. Please correct.

Caption card should read "the caption helps"
Charts/Tables card should read "Charts and tables help"
Photographs should read "understand how something works"

Hi Lindsey, I'm just wondering whether these cards are in colour or black and white? The photo you have of the cards are in colour but the thumbnails are B/W. Do they need to be coloured in? Thanks

The pictures in the non-fiction cards are half and color and half in black and white because they are examples non-fiction sources I used in my classroom. Specifically, the cards for map, illustration, photograph, diagram, labels, timeline, and cutaway have color images. The cards for heading, caption, bold print, charts/tables, table of contents, glossary, index, pronunciation guide, graph, italics, and close-up are all in black and white and the majority of those are text examples so they do not require color. Hope this is what you were looking for!
