Was it supposed to have black faded blocks? it stayed the same as the sample, but I did close everything and try re-downloading. I am so sorry!

Hey Alisha, try downloading everything and closing the sample PDF. I just went to the document and it is the correct one. If you're still having issues, email me at lisablagus@gmail.com and I will send it to you directly! Thanks!

Meg Anderson  (TpT Seller) re: Ice Age Middle School Math Movie Review
Hi Lisa! I just wanted to let you know that I noticed that many of your products have copied images from movies . . . I would hate to see you get into copyright trouble for that! Are you aware that using those images is against the law? I would hate to see you get in big trouble for that...maybe you have special permission?
May 15, 2013
Lisa Blagus  (TpT Seller)
Hey Meg - I've sent TpT a question about it and they directed me to some forums. The one quote that makes me believe that I would be okay is when all the Dr. Seuss controversy was going down. "We discovered that just because Dr. Seuss is used in the name of a product or images/excerpts are placed in products that are free or for sale, this does not necessarily mean that the product is infringing on copyright or trademarks." Thank you for your concern, and I've definitely kept them email that more or less said that TpT couldn't direct me one way or the other to cover my butt. :)

How do I get this to print out on black and white printer and still get all the images to show up? I already purchased it and tried to print it twice and get get decent looking images for most of the stations. Thanks
May 12, 2013
Lisa Blagus  (TpT Seller)
You can lighten the printer settings, as far as I know. Another option is that I could print them and mail the stations to you today. If you'd like to do that, email me your address at lisablagus@gmail.com

Thanks!

Hello Lisa,

Your Pythagorean theorem activity looks fantastic. I live in Australia and we use the metric system. I was wondering if you would consider having the same activity to purchase but with metric measurements. Of course, I understand if this is too much extra hassle. I would be willing to pay more. Jody.

Surya Chronister  (TpT Seller) re: Slope of Parallel & Perpendicular Lines Fun Map Activity;
I liked this activity, but my students were confused because Pink and Brown Streets don't have very good points to count the slope from. Your answer key says they should have slopes of 2/3, but when you count the coordinates don't line up every up 2 over 3 coordinates. Can that be updated?

I'm going to email the Word document, if that's okay. When I printed my copy, it seemed to work out with the 4 points I tried. What is your email address? I'll be glad to send it right on over!

That is so strange - more so since it's saved in pdf. Either way, Page 2 is called BATTER UP and page 3 is called HOMERUN. I'm terribly sorry they aren't showing up. Maybe try opening the document on another computer?? I've never had this happen! Haha - thank you for being so patient.

Hi. I purchased this activity and love it. Actually did it with my kids today. As we were working on it, we found two errors.

Hello,
Not quite sure what you write in the blanks at the beginning of the lesson. Seems redundant the solutions I come up with. Just wondering what you intended to be filled in the blanks.
Thanks!

Hey there,
I intended for the blanks to be just "stem" and "leaf" and "tens" and "ones." Thanks for inquiring!

Lura Milner  (TpT Seller) re: Finding the area of composite figures, Find each area and combine
Great activity. However there are a couple of errors in the answer key. The last problem is missing an answer. And the first problem makes an incorrect assumption about the height of the triangle. I wanted to give you a chance to correct these (or explain to me the process you are using) before I submit feedback. A great challenge for the students though!
March 4, 2013
Lisa Blagus  (TpT Seller)
Hey Lura,
The height of the triangle is fixed and I included a numerical value for the answer on the last question. As far as the BCR answer, they will vary. Thanks for letting me know of the missing answer on the key!

Paige Macadaeg  (TpT Seller) re: Slope Intercept, Point-Slope, Standard Form Practice Coloring Activity
There is a mistake/typo with this document. For the "yellow" points, there is no point-slope form. If you look at your answer key, 2 slope-intercept forms are colored.

Hi!
I just purchased (and have been going through) the Let's Go Skiing lesson/activity packet. It looks super - I'm so glad that people like you exist in the world!
I do have a quick fix question/request... since it is in PDF, I can't really fix it myself (I'm not that good - and my handwriting is sketchy at best!)
On page 32 - Linear Equations Test, the 2nd section, letter a) y = -3 + 3, but in the key it is a) y= -3x + 3. Can you add the x into the problem? I know it isn't a big big deal, but it would be super helpful!

What do you have after this is completed? And how long do you think it would take to complete this unit?
October 17, 2012

Hey Cliff,
I'm currently working on a 250+ page unit that will cover mostly the same standards. I'm hoping to have it finished by mid November. If you "follow me," TpT will let you know when I've posted it! I would think (depending on the time allotted for Math), that you could do a lesson a day?? I guess it all depends on what level your students are on. Thanks again!

I'm teaching a group of students who are all over the place with ability and what they know. It's an alternative high school program. Can you tell me what I should start off with and some other units you've created. I like your products, because they seem very nicely laid out.

Back with another question: Do people usually rate a project immediately or do they wait until they've actually used it, then rate. I've had lots of views...and 30 downloads for the two free ones posted. But know rating and no comments. Is this a bad thing? Be honet...be brutally honest if need be :)
God Bless,
Bryan
October 3, 2012
Lisa Blagus  (TpT Seller)
It really just depends. I would think that people would want to rate an item after they have used it, but some people will purchase/download an item and give it a rating immediately without using it first, which can either help or hurt you. Most people use it first before rating though - and that proves to be "better feedback!"

Thanks so much. I have a follow-up question. Since I'm brand new, do sellers ever sell the detailed idea but not the actual worksheets/supplies/materials etc.? And if so, to just use an idea is it linked to a sheet that can be printed out or to a blog site? (Hope, I'm not bugging you, but I am a rookie!)
October 1, 2012
Lisa Blagus  (TpT Seller)
Not a problem! Most people will actually sell the actual supplies/worksheets, not just an idea. I'm sure there are people that sell ideas, but I've never come across it. Sorry I can't be more help to you - I just haven't seen it. Maybe try searching??

Hi,
The activity I got in the download was not the coloring activity that was previewed. I got one on adding and subtracting integers using monsters. (cute idea) I'd really like the "Thanksgiving or Fall Multiplying and Dividing Integer Color Activity" since my students like to color.
Thanks,

October 1, 2012

sevvys re: Addition of Integers Notes and Fun Activity Bundle
I found a few typos in this. On the "So, here's the deal" page, it should say, "They're the type that like to make..." It says "likes."

On "The monsters meet up in the closet" page, it should say, "Bummer Barry acts as a negative and Happy Harry is a positive." Happy Harry is shown as negative.

On the "Let's look at another example" page, 5 negative monsters plus two positive monsters should be three negative monsters. You have "positive" there.

On the "Solve these following problems" page, it should say "Solve the following problems." or "Solve these problems." and "Check THE monster that has more friends." (It says "Check that monster that has more friends."

Please let me know when these issues have been resolved. It's a little frustrating to pay for something and not be able to use it or correct the errors.

Thank you.

Dakota5 re: Least Common Multiple/Least Common Denominator Lesson Plan
Lisa, hi! Love your products, and I am very excited about your LCM packet. I never knew that you could find the LCM by using the factors of the numbers. Cool!! :) I did have a question for you, though. :) In the example that you gave for finding the LCM of 100 and 180, I am thinking that because 9 is not a prime number, that it would have to be broken down to 3 squared. Would that be right...just wondering if that maybe was a typo?

I hope that you will forgive me if it turns out that it isn't, and that I am just not quite understanding it yet...which is highly likely!! :) Sure hope your year is off to a great start! Thanks again for all the amazing things you share with us!!
Take care,

Hi Lisa,
I just purchased your "First Grade Common Core Bundle with the Standards & Objectives". I love the bundle-but I am having difficulty printing the document. Whenever I try to print, a box always comes up saying "Flattening", then after a few minutes another box tells me it was unable to print. It's not that I'm not tech savy-I'm competent on the computer. I've tried printing at school and home on 3 different computers and it still won't let me. I use a PC, did you use a mac? Could this be the problem? If I can't print it, it's really no use to me. Any suggestions?

karobert re: Second Grade Common Core Bundle with Standards & Objectives
Love the Common Core bundle with standards and objectives for Math. Are you planning a similar bundle for Language Arts?

MrsH2012 re: First Grade Common Core Bundle with the Standards & Objectives
Is this bundle just for first grade common core standards. I was a little confused since your history seems to be with higher grade levels. I am a brand new teacher...just graduated Sunday, so I would love a bundle to get me started in first grade. :)

Hey Mrsh2012! Congrats on your graduation! That's very exciting. As most of my items are for grades 5-8, this is actually just for first grade! Enjoy it!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently in my 6th year teaching in Salisbury Middle School. I've taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grades and did my teaching experience in elementary school.

MY TEACHING STYLE

As a somewhat new teacher, I have realized that I absolutely do not like textbooks. They hardly ever fit the standards we need to teach; therefore, I tend to create my own materials!
