I was able to download and open the files without a problem. Everything looked correct. It is a zip file. Do you have a program to unzip it? I use PKWare to unzip files. I got it for free online, and I've never had a problem. You can google it to find it. If you have a zip program, then try a different one, or a different browser, or even a different computer. If none of these things work, then please email me at effective teaching solutions @ yahoo . com (close the gaps).

As for a vocabulary list, I started a list in one of my notebooks, but I haven't published it. I will have to see if I can find it. If you have trouble downloading your product, you can contact TPT. I just downloaded and checked the file from TPT. It's a pdf file. It's not locked. The file was created on a PC. You might need to update your Adobe Acrobat Reader. Try that first. If it doesn't work, please email me at effective teaching solutions @ yahoo .com (close the gaps).

The story is a picture book by Deborah Zagwyn Turney. The unit accompanies the story. I do not have the right to include the story in the unit. It is one of my favorite picture books. It might be. It depends on your 6th graders. Most of your kids should get it quickly, but you might have a couple of kids who don't. It's early in the year, so you could use it as a quick assessment. If they all get it, then great, you can move on, but if someone doesn't you know where you need to remediate.

You don't need labels. I print them onto regular paper, tape them down with double sided tape and cover them with contact paper.

Couldn’t open the file. It may be corrupt or a file format that Preview doesn’t recognize.

Does that mean if I buy this it won't open on my Mac? Thanks for your help---would love to purchase this but want to be sure I can open it.

I don't know much about MACS. It's a pdf file. From what I understand MAC users are able to open pdf files. Check to make sure you have the latest version of Adobe pdf and try again. Sometimes an update is all you need.

I was able to open it up without a password. It is not set for a password, so I'm not sure what is happening. Try opening it from both the classic view and the new beta view. If you still can't open it, I recommend emailing Paul (the site owner). It sounds like a technical glitch. Please let me know whether or not this problem is resolved. This product is a simple booklet following the writing pattern in the book. Students can write their own stories and draw illustrations. I recommend completing a shared writing experience first, and then letting children write their own versions. When I first posted this product, I was unable to get the pictures to load. There are 3 pictures now that should give you an idea of the booklet. They are on the product description page. Thank you for your interest!

2nd answer: Okay... I think I know what happened. You made the purchase on June 2nd. I deativated the product after your purchase, but I guess you lost access to it when I deativated it.
