I've been a preschool teacher, paraprofessional, and teacher for the last 10 years. I received my Master's in Teaching in 2009, and I've been teaching 5th grade Reading, Writing, and Language Arts in a departmentalized setting for the past 4 years.

I work in a private Christian school, so my lessons often have a biblical slant. I believe in teaching the fundamentals and providing my students the opportunity to use them in higher level thinking activities.

I have three sons with varied abilities and learning styles which helps me look at my lessons from different points of view. I'm a big believer in learning styles, and often my lessons have something for the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learner.
