I am guessing your whiteboard is not a Smart Board (if you have a Smart Board, it comes with Smart Notebook software). Maybe you have a mimeo or a promethean board?
You will want to request a refund. I think there are other sellers on TPT selling active inspire files ( or "flip charts"). I sure hope you can find some great resources that will work on your interactive whiteboard.

Hello! I just checked the file and all is working on my end. Check to make sure that Smart Notebook software is on your computer (this is a .notebook file and requires notebook software to open). Also, try going to "my purchases" and downloading a new copy of the file. Make sure you drag it out of the download file before opening it. If you do have notebook software and the file still doesn't work, let me know (contact me here again) and I'll see if I can get the problem solved.

You will click the word (it will fade away) and reveal the Australian word. Read it to your students and then have them "talk like an Australian". Thanks for letting me know about this issue. I am extremely interesting in your Learn About Cultures Smart Board Lessons -- they would be the perfect compliment to our Around the World with Cinderella unit. If you don't have this software, unfortunately this file will not open. You can click "contact us" at the bottom of the page, email TPT and request a refund. If you DO have smart notebook and the file is not opening, send me another message and I'll see what I can do to trouble shoot for you.

I'm a first year teacher teaching first grade in Spanish all day. I love my job and I still feel like I'm doggie paddling and miss creating Smartboards. I love what your Smartboards look like and am wondering if you've ever thought of translating them into Spanish? Alas, I would buy it and do it myself but it's hard to pay for it and still have so much to do. How do you make it six weeks without a paycheck :o)?

I just bought your writing poster for the beginning writers. I LOVE IT! The thing is, I don't have internet at home (LONG STORY....I now live in the boonies with no high speed internet for the next 5 years). Anyway, I do all of my downloading of material at school. BUT, I don't have my own computer at school nor do I have a color printer at school. That is at home. What I usually do is download my purchases to a zip drive and then print them at home. With this file, it does not allow me to save it at all. It seems to be password protected. Is there a way that you could unlock it for me OR send it to me in a different file format. I download at school on a MAC but my home computer is a PC. I would love to use this with my kids. . .just don't have the means to do so at the moment. Thanks.

Hi Jenn! No worries! I think I have the fix. When you download the file, drag it OUT of your download folder on to your desktop. Once you open it, make sure it opens with Adobe Reader and NOT Preview (which is the default on a Mac). Now you can go to file and save a copy (you will get a pop up that says you can only save a copy - which just means you can't change it). Click OK and tell it where to save it. :-) Also, you can download as many copies as you need from "my purchases" (just another way to get multiple copies if you need them). I hope this helps. If not, let me know and we'll get it sorted out!

You have helped my students learn to read, learn to spell, add, subtract, "do" fractions, and numerous other skills. Now I want them to do something most "autistic" children do not do... write! We already do handwriting, tracing, building, spelling, and writing words, but they do not write sentences. Is there a sequence to your "Write My Way" lessons? Where does it begin... is there a bridge between writing words and writing extremely simple sentences?

Hi Kasper68! No worries. I think I can help. Once you have downloaded the file, drag it out of your download folder on to your desktop. Open it (make sure you open it with adobe reader and not preview - which is the default on a Mac sometimes). Once it is open in adobe reader, you can go to file and "save a copy". You will get a pop up telling you that you can only save a copy (and not make any changes). Click OK and save it where you want it to be.
Let me know if this does NOT work.
Also, you can always go to "my purchases" and download as many copies as you need.

This is a smart notebook file and requires Notebook software in order to open it. If you don't have Notebook software, unfortunately, this file will not open. If you do have Notebook software and are just having trouble getting it on your computer, you can try dragging it out of your download file first before trying to open it. There are 2 other telling time lessons in my Math Category (time on the hour and time on the quarter hour). Both are .notebook files. I hope this helps. Hello Carolyn!! Thank you so much for your interest in my writing program!! I have the entire program posted in my TPT store. If you purchase all the bundles (there are 7) the cost is $56.45. All the products within each bundle are also sold separately (...in case you only wanted one of the lessons instead of all of them for any particular bundle. That way you don't have to purchase a lesson if you think it will not meet your needs.) There are additional products that are not included in the bundles (i.e. Fix the Sentences for First Graders, Interview Me! a speaking, listening, and shared writing activity, etc.) that can be purchased individually. I would LOVE to be able to post the entire program in one BIG download but can only upload files under 100mb on TPT. That is why I created bundles (some of the bundles are pretty close to the limit). Hi! I don't have activinspire so I cannot test this. I have heard that some whiteboard software has an "import from notebook" feature. You could download one of my free smartboard lessons (from the freebie category) and see what happens. I'm guessing that, even with the import feature, not everything would work as it should. If my smartboard lessons don't work for you, I sure hope that you find some other great resources on TPT!!

Hello rhodamarx! Oh, I wish I had the activInspire software so I could answer your question... I've been asked this question so many times (I have a Smart board with notebook software only). I don't know if it will work or not. You should just be able to click "download" from "my purchases", drag it out of the downloads on to your desktop and open it up (if you have Smart Notebook software). I have heard that some whiteboard software has an "import from notebook" option, but I don't know which one. If you cannot open this, you can click "contact us" at the bottom of the page and request a refund (which is a bummer, I know). I do sell a PDF version of these story problems (they are listed as Printable Addition and Subtraction Story Problems and are in the math category of my store... but you could also project them, they just won't be interactive). Right now they are just in individual sets as I haven't had time to bundle that version yet (but I plan to do it over the holiday break).
