These are meant to be a horizontal border or divider.....but some might fit together to make a frame if you rotate them 90 degrees, paste another one on top & slide to make the side longer by lining up the overlapping part.

This file is a "flipchart" file made for "ActivInspire" software for the Promethean board. I also have the same activity as a "notebook" made with SMART technologies. But I would imagine mimio has their own software & file type. Sorry, I'm not familiar with it.

I can easily email the original WORD files I used to make them -- the borders are grouped word objects.
The zipped file you're having trouble with all contains Jpegs of each border ---- which might be easier to work with if you're not used to dealing with WORD objects.

I'm not sure what the problem is. I just downloaded it & tried it myself. I made it on a mac, so that's not an issue.
When you click on a circle once - it actually selects the whole set that is grouped together ---- it looks like a big rectangle --- but it is really only 1 of every 3 circles within the rectangle.
If you click on a circle and click on a new color (in your drawing tools) you can see which circles are part of the group.
Is this making any sense?

I don't even teach 3rd grade. I made the series for a friend that was overwhelmed by Common Core last year (and not very tech savy). And now she was moved to 5th grade!! ...so I AM working on some ppts for 5th grade math, but there won't be any more 3rd grade material.
There are tons of great 3rd grade TpT sellers here. I'm sure a good search will turn up something you'll love.

Is there any way to attach the document so you could see it? The symbols on the back are not like the picture which is why I know it is incorrect. They are tiny (about the size of a grain of rice and they have things like hearts, clocks, shamrocks, stars, etc.). There aren't any directions either...
I will try to check it on my PC to see if that works, but it should work either way since it's a PDF.

That IS the symbols that are on the back........the DT & VT graphs that show the same motion have the same little symbol on the BACK.....a heart, clock, or triangle, etc. They are very small, so students don't notice them before they match them.
The graphs are the front (as shown in the 2nd thumbnail), the tiny symbols are on the back to check answers.
I thought the product description covered the directions:

Some of them will work well on all four sides.....but it will probably be difficult to line up corners for many of them.
Select the border by clicking on it.
In the "arrange" section of the "Drawing Tools Format" tab pick "behind text" in the drop down menu for "bring forward" .....so you can put it exactly where you want it without interfering with the words on the page.
Also in the "arrange" section, in the "Rotate" drop down menu pick "Rotate 90 degrees".

You click on the border you want and COPY it (from edit menu or by right clicking) and then PASTE it where you want it in your WORD file or PowerPoint.
It gets a little more complicated if you want to customize colors.

I downloaded the perimeter powerpoint, and loved it!!! I went ahead and purchased the whole 3rd grade powerpoint bundle, but I'm having trouble opening the files. I have software on my computer to open zipped files, but can't seem to open this one. My district blocks software downloads on our laptops, so I wasn't able to download the zip software that was at the link that came with the powerpoint download. In the MS WORD file, click on the border to select it. On the drawing tools menu, click to “ungroup the shapesâ€. Clicking just ONCE will still have some groups ----- this is probably what you want! If you keep clicking, it will ungroup THOSE groups too & you’ll have a millions individual shapes each with a mind of it’s own!! So click some where off to the side (to unselect everything) then on one of the colors you’d like to change. If all goes well, ALL the red balls (or whatever) are still grouped together ---- just click a new color in the formatting pallet and they will all change! When you’ve changed all the colors, select everything & GROUP it again.
If this doesn’t makes sense or seem to work, post again & tell me what version of MS WORD you have. I could try to make a little instructional video!

I would say you could go down as far as 2nd grade. My kids have to be able to correctly identify everything in your flipchart and the vocabulary is not too difficult. I teach 2nd grade and this would be very appropriate for year-end test prep or review, but not for the beginning of the year. Hope that helps :)

Sounds like the issue is how they were copied.
You should just print pages 2-7 if you want blank spaces, or 8-13 if you want lines.
You should print them double-sided so that the edge that is the TOP of the page is the TOP of the page for both sides. Our copier has a setting something like "Flip on the short side".
If you can't find a setting like that, you can print the original out single sided (6 pages)& stack them all on the copier & print "1 side to 2 side"....the copier will just think they are normal tall pages (not landscape) & do it right! You just keep the 3 pages together & fold them.
I hope that makes sense! I never thought about including copying instructions in the file! I should do that for April's booklet. -- Our school copier just seems to know what I'm thinking.

I DO have a bundled set called Borders Bundle. I guess I should add that link to each description.
It's not HARD at all......just a little time consuming. I just use the drawing tools in Word to make them. I draw shapes & copy & paste & sometime rotate them and group. The "distribute horizontally" tool makes it easy to get things spaced evenly. Sometimes I use this website http://colorschemedesigner.com/ to pick colors that look cool together.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I teach Conceptual, Academic, Honors, and AP Physics, but I have a lot of other products in my store since I am always helping other teachers. My non-physics products mostly target a single math standard or skill. I attend a lot of national conferences (AAPT, NSTA, NCMT, & NECC), do multiweek summer programs, and am a reader for the AP Physics B Exam.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT
I'm not sure if it fits this category.....but I was honored to be selected for these elite programs:
* a RET (research experience for teachers) program at Cornell Univ. for 6 weeks in '08
* the Dept of Energy's ACTS (Academy Creating Teacher Scientists) at Princeton Plasma Physics Lab for 7 weeks each summer in '09 & '10
* the national Quarknet program focusing on particle physics
* Funding to attend the annual Teacher Workshop at the Kavli Institute of Theoretical Physics in Santa Barbara
....and I am currently deciding on Summer 2012 plans --- 2 offers so far - Baylor Univ for 8 wk or Univ of AL for 6 weeks..... still crossing fingers that my first choice makes an offer

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
I don't think there are a lot of physics teachers here at TpT, my other items sell much better. I've made cute borders, a lot of math test prep items, and other random things. If physics sales ever pick up, I'll clean up more of my stuff for posting. Pretty much EVERYTHING I use in my class is something I made myself.
