This is lucky year #13 for me. I taught 10 years of high school math and then moved down to 7th and 8th grade! I am convinced junior high is the best kept secret! Shhh...don't tell. :)
My classroom is filled with Kagan structures to actively engage students in their learning.
Teacher of the Year (2000)
I currently teach math at Washington Junior High School in Bentonville, AR. I'm still new to middle-level education, but the challenge is a perfect fit. I'm hooked on building better students...
I have lived in Northwest Arkansas for 26 years. My husband and I have two beautiful daughters. Chuck works for Wal-Mart, and we attend First Baptist Church of Bentonville. It was my honor to be a classroom teacher at Bentonville High School for ten years; however, I resigned my teaching position in 2004 to stay home and spoil my family. I recently returned to teaching after five years of retirement and am loving every second of creating a positive learning environment.
