I use it to drive my instruction as well as provide administration with skills taught and skills mastered by my students. I do apologize you did not like it.

I use the Active Reading Cube Group Activities CCS RL.5.1 & SL.5.1 that are listed on my site to give students practice and it really helps them to connect with the strategy. My students love them too! I use them after I teach the strategies by themselves. I use the Active Reading Cube Group Activities CCS RL.5.1 & SL.5.1 to introduce and practice the skills. My students love the idea of rolling a cube and the questions provided get them thinking in various ways! I'm glad they are having fun with them!
