Most of them are on my wall or on poster board to be chanted as the need arises. It is amazing (and gratifying) to see how much the kids actually use these, albeit a variation, in their conversationss. In fact, I have previous students in their thirties recite these and write me emails about how much they loved them and/or how the snappy saying had helped them in their travels or other Spanish pursuits. I usually pass out the cloze sheet so they have many of the words, but then they have to listen a few times to get the missing words. I have done this activity both ways, one without focusing on the grammar obviously featured. I later asked why I chose this song and the students couldn't pin point it. I was actually pleased, because I wanted the song, as most of my songs, to be stealth grammar reinforcements. I have also introduced the song telling them that we were going to reinforce the double object pronouns. They groaned. I prefer the stealth way personally.

I really enjoyed this packet. There is a very good variety of material to review concepts previously learned. I used this the week before Spring Break and am finishing the worksheets after Spring Break to remind students of present tense conjugation, pret vs imperfect, ser vs estar, etc.

When I did a simpler version of Include Me for the shop teacher and the Home Ec teacher I was surprised to find out that ALL their students were using them, not just my ELLs. Hi Lonnie. Thanks for your question. The small glitches I mentioned in my comment are in the Western Movement Puzzle (easy version) on page 8 of your package. The clue for 3 down is "strong animals that looks like horses." Obviously it should be "look." We also were confused by 13 down, which says, "wagon a large wagon with a canvas cover." I suggest omitting the first "wagon" or rewriting it as "______ wagon: a large wagon with a canvas cover," so that students know they should fill in the space. Also, in the cloze reading, maybe you could indicate that several of the answers in the word box are used multiple times. ELLs and special ed students are often taught to cross out items in word boxes once they have used them, thus applying the process of elimination. The process of elimination does not work in this case. Thanks again for your wonderful materials: these are very small quibbles.

Hi Lonnie. I am a great admirer of yours, having previously bought some of your products for teaching Spanish through Vibrante Press. Now I'm back in my usual position, teaching ESL to adult learners. I love your inclusive materials. We just finished "Creating a New Nation," and the students really felt they achieved mastery over the vocabulary through the variety of activities. (Many of my students are women from countries that have limited schooling opportunities for girls; they need the support and reinforcement that your materials provide). However, could you make your materials even more splendid by providing a teacher's answer key? Some of the pictures are subject to multiple interpretations. I was teaching the symbol for "united" as "people" until we did the crossword puzzle, and I was teaching "executive" as "White House." Also, there's a typographical error in the final paragraph of the picture reading. ("it constitution" is the phrase with the typo). Please keep the materials coming!

Thank you for your comments. I now realize that some sort of answer key should have been included. In my new Include Me Series © Science, I have 2 picture glossaries, one with words for reference by both teacher and student, and the other without words for use as an assessment or as an exercise. I will go back and add those extra glossaries with words, but not likely until summer. I, of course, am still teaching a lot of classes and writing or re-writing more needed packets (Include Me Series © Earth Sciences, Physical Science and newly formatted Perfect Picture Stories, and a lot of English and other music) Thanks for the typo info.That I can get to right away.

I appreciate your efforts but I re-downloaded it and there is still only one page. I would really like to have a look at these pictures to see if I can use them in my kindergarten class here in the UAE. Is there another way to get the file? This venue doesn't seem to be working.

I just purchased the product for Mesopotamia and am very excited to use it with my group of sixth graders. Everything looks very helpful! I did notice though that in the Mesopotamia download, the flashcards provided are for Mesoamerica instead of Mesopotamia. Would it be possible to get the Mesopotamia flashcards?

I bought and downloaded The Indus Valley in Pictures, however, all of the materials are on Nubia and Egypt! After I realized this, I came back to my account and re-checked the Product Overview Thumbnails, and yes, my download looks nothing like the preview, nor is it about the Indus Valley. Help!

Your products seem to be for English to Arabic. Have you thought of creating them for Arabic-speaking children learning English? I have almost no materials to help my student! I got excited when I saw yours, but they aren't what I need.

I actually do have something. It is not ready to go up on TPT yet, but they are pictures of verbs, nouns, adjectives, prepositions with labels in various languages, including Arabic. It might take me a few weeks to get them ready to upload. They are for sale on my other website in book form. It's now called Perfect Pics For Language Learning and its companion book, Practice With Pics. If you can stan to wait a few weeks, I'll put them up in packet, downloadable form.

I also just purcahsed your Stone Age packet. The product looks useful, but I also was wanting some answer keys. When someone else developes a lesson, it is always helpful to see an answer key to see their train of thinking. Then I adjust for my classroom from there. I especially would love to have a copy of the labels for all of the pictures (flashcards) that you have included.

Good idea. Here are the 16 labels for the pics in the squares. they are used through out the lesson but it may not be clear which is which. (Left blank for the kids to fill in for quiz or just extra writing practice) Top left to right- grind,gather,farmer,draw,wheat,bones,tools,skeleton,prehistoric, fossils, migration,nomads, plants,stones,hide.hunt. Hope that helps.
