At the beginning of the school year, before even opening up curriculum, I spent an entire week covering the Mathematical Practices with my first graders. These posters are now hung on the door, and the mini posters are modge podged to the front and back covers of math notebooks to remind students. Thank you for the great resource!

Hi! I just downloaded your Common Core Math Practices posters. There is a grammatical error on #4...it says, "Write a number sentences and equations for a given problem." Sentence and equation should be singular, or else there should not be an "a" before number. I cannot edit it in the pdf....is there any way you can fix it, and then email me the fixed version? I would like to use these for a bulletin board that I need to have up by next Tuesday (8/28). Thanks!!!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have taught for over 11 years. I have taught Kinder, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I love to teach using hands on materials and visuals. The more students experience the lesson the more they retain the material.
HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT
My best teaching moment has been when a student has made basic connections. We were word building and they were able to relate a word family to another word we didn't go over. It is moments like that, that put a smile on my face.
MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
I have my BA from UCSC in American Lit. I received my teaching degree from National University. I just finished up my Masters in TESOL from Grand Canyon University.
ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
I'm currently raising a sweet son on the Autism spectrum with my lovely husband. We are learning right along with him.
