My2Kids re: 1st Grade Writing Journal with 112 Prompts
I just purchased 'My 1st Grade Writing Journal' and the prompts do not show up. They have a black line where the prompt should be. The writing lines are there not the prompt. Let me know what can be done to get the prompts and a complete packet.

Hi Vandee... that's an easy fix. Just download a newer version of Adobe (it's free) and the fonts will show up nicely. Also, if you are using a Mac be sure you are not in 'preview'

I just purchased the Summer Math pack. It looks great, but as I was reading through the directions, it appears that there is a mistake on Gumballs Galore. The directions say to add 100 to the number you get when you spin the spinner. There are no coordinating numbers on the student score space. I think the directions should say subtract 100. Am I right?

You got the whole package. When copied back to back and folded it creates a trifold! This is what the kids use with a bag of m&ms. The description says 2 pages to create a trifold. I'm sorry you didn't understand that before you bought this $1.00 purchase. I believe $1 for 30 minute math review was a great deal. Didn't mean to cause any frustration.

I'd really like to use this in my classroom, but I'm having trouble with the photos on pages 2 and the bottom of 3. Everything else is fine, but those two pix are blurred. I even updated my Adobe files. Can you email me a better copy? My second graders are weak with facts and this is such a wonderful way to get them on track. Thank you!

I noticed when I opened some of the documents that came with this file that there is a file for Addition and Subtraction to 20 and even says "Common Core Grade 1", is this an "oopsie!" or did you include it to review 1st grade standards at the beginning of the year? I just almost had heart palpitations when I downloaded the files because I thought at first that I had purchased the 1st grade CCSS Math Stations! :)

Lory - The booklet page for the money centers does not match up with the cards. The cards, by themselves, all match up, but there are money amounts and coins that don't match up in the booklet. Thanks in advance for looking into it!

I believe the President's Day Rotations is set up as a booklet form. If you print the 2/page back to back it creates a booklet for the kids.

Hi!
Scoot is an activity to mix things up ;) There are many versions. In my class, I divide the kids into 4 groups and rotate them through the 4 activities. 1 activity is SCOOT... I place a card on 12 different desks. I set a timer and the kids answer the question on the card (on the recording sheet) and then rotate through all 12 cards. Each activity gets about 12-15 minutes. The 2nd activity is a MEMORY, the 3rd is an independent assignment and the 4 is an assessment type assignment. The whole process takes about an hour. I do this on Friday as a review for the math topic we have studied through out the week. FOor Zebra Scoot... we read Zebra books, wear black and white and have Oreos (black and white) for snacks ;)

I love my days!! Mother by morning, teacher by afternoon and mom by night. I have taught second grade for the past 19 years. I am truly living my childhood dream. I love helping my kiddos engage and explore for more knowledge and opportunities.
