Thanks for the reminder that I need to update this file now that there is so much wonderful clipart on TPT. I just revised this product to include clipart that represents African American students. Hi, not sure where you teach but I just looked at the 6th grade Economics standards in Florida and they seem to focus more on global economics and trade with other countries.
If your standards are similar, I think you could still have a Flea Market with your class without purchasing my product. Maybe have each student represent a country, research, and create a product/service to trade. They could write a report on the currency in their country, trade laws, etc. Then sell their products at the market.
I had this idea while looking at the standards, but checked on TPT and this is the closest that I found. http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Mock-World-Trade-Game

I usually start by telling what an adaptation is and then have students work in groups to come up with a list of what they think the top ten adaptations would be. Hi, you should be able to open the pdf file, which is the main part of the unit. The notebook files contain a spinner for students to see if they will create a good or service, and a short advertising lesson. Still, I would love for you to have access to the entire file. Do you have any type of interactive whiteboard software? If so then try the following steps
-Click the Windows key and search for the file name
-Right Click and choose "open with"
-choose other and search for your interactive whiteboard software (promethean, mimio, etc
-Click Save

Hi, I introduce the project before our weather unit so the students get really excited and pay more attention to vocabulary/videos, etc. I used some of the weather packets from other sellers here on TPT. During the unit, students take notes and write down vocabulary words with definitions.
Next I read Cloudy with a chance of... and ask students to create a list of weather words they heard in the story. Then we watch video of real weather forecasts (you tube) and even some student weather forecasts. Next I go over the rubric again and give each group a copy. First they write scripts and make storyboards for their movie, then they film using Flip cameras or iPod Touches in front of our green screen. If you don't have a green screen, you can buy lime green cloth which should work too. I hope that helps!

If that doesn't work, please let me know and I will creat a PowerPoint of the file for you to use. I hope it works for you, as it really is a cute lesson. My students used it last week and loved it! Please let me know either way :)

Hi, I am so sorry you are having trouble with this. I found this tutorial which explains how to convert from Smartboard to Mimio. I think if you try this same process with the Mimio Notebook file (opening it with ActiveInspire), it will hopefully work. I just recently switched from Smartboard to Mimio, and when I tried this it worked for me with most of my files. Some files do contain "Smartboard" or "Mimio" specific content, which doesn't transfer very easily.
