I just purchased your 300 set of prompts and I was wondering if you would be so kind to send it to be as a Keynote File? My email is shelley.mcclure@henry.kyschools.us

I love your stuff! Thanks and take care.

Hi Luke!

I just bought your 300 set of prompts because I stumbled onto your Tumblr a few weeks ago and LOVE it. I used to consider myself pretty creative with my writing prompts; then I found yours and the visual appeal put me to shame. I'm an avid Mac user and noted your explanation about the format in the info section - do you mind sending me the Keynote file? (erkenbka@gmail.com)

Hope you get some great classroom books!

Absolutely!

I have a link coming your way momentarily. If you don't get it or if something doesn't seem to be working, let me know and we'll get it figured out.

Thanks,
Luke

Luke,

I purchased a 14.99 writing prompt package via paypal (anthology@rogers.com), I downloaded it, and when I try and open it in adobe it says the file cannot be opened and is corrupt. Could you email me a link to the 300 writing prompts? thanks,

That's weird. I just sent you an email. Let me know if that doesn't work.

I was curious how many of the sample prompts overlap on the bundle of 20 for Upper Elementary. I absolutely love the prompts, and want as many as possible - but ones that my 4th graders can respond to! :) Thank you.

Are you asking about the Anchor Standard 1 set? That one has four sample prompts, so that's four of the twenty. If you're looking for more, you could check out blog.biguniverse.com or writingprompts.tumblr.com, I have a few more in both places.

I just purchased all of your writing prompt sets and can't wait to use them. Would it be possible to get any or perhaps all of them in keynote? Thanks!

Is there overlap between the two packs of the CCSS writing prompts for strand 1? My students LOVE the prompts you have on your tumblr and I would like to buy as many as possible :)

There is not. They are totally different prompts. There is some overlap between the free set and both of the CCSS 1 sets, since I just pulled the sample ones to make that free set. Hope that helps.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my sixth year teaching. I've taught both middle school and high school reading, language arts, and social studies. I'm working on a doctorate in education that will hopefully be finished before the next World Cup.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I'm now describing my teaching style as Nerdfighteria takes over The Colbert Report with Ira Glass as a guest.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

A writing prompts site that I run won the TEFL.net site of the month in March 2012. That same writing prompts site is featured on the Tumblr writer's directory.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Wheaton College (the Illinois one) in 2004 with a degree English Literature and almost pulled off the double major in Political Science. I got an MAT from George Fox University and am now in their Ed.D. program.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I live in Oregon and wear sweater vests on a regular basis.
