She was also taught to read as a baby using the Doman method. She lives and works near Melbourne, Australia where she runs her clinic, The Learning Centre (TLC).
Lyn travels extensively throughout Australia presenting her Language For Life series of workshops to teachers and other education professionals. She uses Direct Instruction and Socratic questioning as her main modes of teaching.

Lyn has three children (eleven, nine and seven years). Her 11-year-old daughter has Cri Du Chat Syndrome, a genetic disorder which causes developmental delay. Lyn has studied and is implementing an intensive developmental program called "What to do About Your Brain-Injured Child". This comprises tactile, linguistic, balance, visual, auditory and mobility stimulation. The program has been very successful and extremely educational so far.
