Sorry to say I was disappointed in this product I don't have the book - and don't want it - I was looking for materials to support and enhance current curriculum. Feel this was a bit "Plain Jane" for the price.

I LIKE THIS PROGRAM. TIME RESTRAINTS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL MAKES SPELLING LIST AND SPELLING TEST ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO INCORPORATE IN TO THE CURRICULUM. BESIDES, I HAVE NEVER FOUND MEMORIZING SPELLING WORDS AN EFFECTIVE PROCESS FOR TEACHING SPELLING. THIS PROGRAM OFFERS A NICE SOLUTION.

I teach ELD 6-8th grades. Lyn's Spelling Guide appears to get the students to focus in on the rule and actually apply it! I've been very impressed so far though I've only used the first three rules. Thanks! The kids need this.

I was hoping that this was going to be more useful than it was. It provides examples, but that's it. I was hoping for more than the few basic parts of speech. :/

Sorry that you were disappointed. The PPT presentation is designed specifically to accompany the Grammar For Life text. If you have the text, it makes much more sense. I will make that a lot clearer in the product description. In the meantime, I can do one of two things: I can refund you (as soon as I work out how to do that on TPT!) or I can send you a link to the download of the text free of charge. This would mean you would have to inbox me your email address via the contact form on my website. I quite understand if you would rather not do this due to privacy reasons.

Linguist and literacy and language specialist. Trained in Lindamood LiPS, Bell Visualizing and Verbalizing, Seeing Stars, On Cloud Nine for Math, Spalding and Fast ForWord. She was also taught to read as a baby using the Doman method. She lives and works near Melbourne, Australia where she runs her clinic, The Learning Centre (TLC).
MY TEACHING STYLE
Lyn travels extensively throughout Australia presenting her Language For Life series of workshops to teachers and other education professionals. She uses Direct Instruction and Socratic questioning as her main modes of teaching.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Lyn has three children (eleven, nine and seven years). Her 11-year-old daughter has Cri Du Chat Syndrome, a genetic disorder which causes developmental delay. Lyn has studied and is implementing an intensive developmental program called "What to do About Your Brain-Injured Child". This comprises tactile, linguistic, balance, visual, auditory and mobility stimulation. The program has been very successful and extremely educational so far.
