The lesson would have been more useful if it had illustrated the "I do; we do; you do" model with highlighted examples. Surely, I can adapt this presentation to accommodate the model, I simply would have preferred to save time.

I'm all for easing the kids' tension and not making things look so serious, but this was simply general knowledge. The least you could have done (for that price) is include a sample and steps to approaching and completing the essay.

I love how the test scaffolds. I hate teaching vocabulary in a solitary situation and these are so helpful because it makes the kids use the words, not just be able to match the definition.

Not original work...I've seen a good portion of the activities, quiz's and test in other lesson/unit planning for this particular book.... no daily lesson plans, loads of activities, the font was different on just about every page.....I don't think it was worth the $7.99

The TPT site doesn't allow enough review information before purchasing. This PPT is for higher level students, but for my 6th graders - too much. I wish I could really get a better feel for the level of the material. It's not the PPT that is my problem. I just bought something I can't use because the product can't be reviewed thoroughly enough to match my need. Thanks for trying to utilize teacher's work though.

The PowerPoint is 9 slides like it states but has NO notes to accompany the PowerPoint. The slides have definitions but I was excited to see how the PP was going to help students identify their personality and there are no questions or guided learning at all.

I have been an AP Lit & Comp teacher for five years now. I really like this collection of poems. Great selection. As an AP teacher I really appreciate the level of difficulty in this selection. Great for any AP Lit and Comp class.

The document was without answers. I was trying to use this as a reading "check" as my class is in book club groups reading several different novels. The quality of questions was not a problem; however, an answer key was not provided.

This was a great starter power point. However, the description leads the buyer to believe it guides students to poetry analysis for the AP exam. You are better off saving your money and going to the college board for help.

I have a question, before I purchase. I actually teach IB, not AP, but I would like to teach them poetic analysis in case they get a poem on the exam. My question is, does this packet also include analysis of rhythm, rhyme, enjambment, caesura....these are the areas where I, as a teacher, am less confident.

It's just the PPT. The numbers on it refer to the Part and paragraph in the text so you can refer to it. For example, on slide 5, 1:21 means the 21st paragraph of Part I.

Purchased this item from you. Really like the idea of compiling so many great classic poems in one place...do you have an answer key that accompanies this? It isn't possible to spend classtime going over all of these and would like to be able to quickly provide exemplars/answers to students and even my TAs as they may be grading some of these.

I do not have an answer key, sorry. I agree that it is too much material to cover all the poems in class, which is why I assign a poetry project to my class. Each student becomes a "master" of one of the poems (they pick a title out of a bag randomly). After they complete the project, they get into small groups and teach each other the poems. I can send you the project if you email me at msmith@lncs.org. I highly suggest my Types of Poetry PPT - it includes the definitions of the different types of poetry and has the questions for the first few poems in the handbook.
