I am a first year full time teacher, but have spent the past 8 years in our school district working as a title one teacher, an interventionist, as well as a long term classroom sub (a few different times). I am also a professional photographer and love to create fun learning tools for my students using photoshop and Indesign.

I am a firm believer in the Daily 5 and have seen its benefits in my own children (one child who is an above average reader and one who is an average reader). They both love to read because they are given choice. I can't wait to use this with my students! Our school has adopted Steven Covey's Leader in Me program and I am interested to see how the seven habits are going to work for us in the elementary classroom.
