What a great hands-on activity. It's wonderful. I think I will first have my students colour in the nets with different colours, then, after I'll get them to cut and glue them! This way they will be able to appreciate all the faces of the different shapes.

Marcia, I am planning to buy a set of your posters for my Special Ed resource room but was wondering if a set of cards, with the shapes, but no other identifiers could also be included. Needless to say, just about everything I do is small group and a set of handheld cards that we could match with the posters and then use for flash cards would be great! I would be glad to pay an additional fee to cover the cards.... Many thanks for sharing your creative talents!

Hi, Thanks for your question. The file comes with 2 sorting mats (odd and even). The students place the number cards on either the odd or even mat. The students can use all 42 cards or just some of the cards. Then the students can record their answers on one or more of the 3 recording sheets. Next the teacher or student can check the answers with the answer key.

Thank you Jana for your question. I'm sorry but these cards do not have the definition on them. If I put the definition on the front, I would have had to make the word and picture much smaller. Teachers and students like the large font. (Some teachers write the definition on the back of the cards before laminating.) I didn't make the cards larger because some teachers have very limited space in their classrooms and 36 cards take up a lot of space. I used the same borders and ten-frames but had to change the clipart for the numbers because of the fingers on the number people. Is this what you are looking for?
