TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught the following course: 7th grade World History, 8th grade US History, 8th grade Gate - Combined US History & English, 9th grade World Geography, 9th grade World Languages Classroom, 10th grade Advanced Placement World History, 11th grade US History, 11th / 12th Small Learning Community - Arts & Design US History, Civics, Economics, 11th / 12th Sheltered US History, Civics, Economics, 12th grade Migrant Studies Civics & Economics (all in Spanish), 12th grade Civics, and 12th grade Economics.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to use as many methods of teaching as possible. I have a very structured, organized classroom that is based on routines established the first weeks of school. I generally start each class with an opener, then we move into a short lecture, followed by an activity. Some days do call for all lecture and other days are guided practice. My favorite method is to use stations either as a recap or as an extension of a lesson.
