Obtained a Bachelors of Education and Masters of Counseling Education degree from an accredited university. Has twelve years teaching experience, with the last ten years in middle school/public city school system. My core focus has been mainly in World Geography; although, I've had experience in teaching American History, Pre-algebra, Art, French, and Physical Education.
The basis of education is to assist in the development of students academically, emotionally, socially, and physically so that they will become functioning influential citizens of our society as they reach adulthood. There are three types of learners: tactile, auditory, and visual. In addition, it is also important to determine a students strengths within the 8 multiple intelligences: Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Bodily-Kinesthetic, Visual-Spatial, Musical, Naturalist, and Logical-Mathmatical. I implement a hands-on/discovery approach to teaching/learning. If the student is actively engaged in the learning process and can claim ownership to the what they have learned, success will be evident.

Bachelors of Education and Masters of Counseling Education
I have a Bachelors of Eduction (1995) and a Masters of Counseling Education (1997). I specialize in middle school Geography and social studies curriculum. I believe students need to develop advanced cognitive abilities such as problems-solving and higher-level thinking. Having had a variety of learning levels in my classroom, my lessons can be easily modified for those who need extra help and those who need more advanced work.
