Yes. I can only print them in black and white at school and they look fine. I tried to be conservative with the use of color and the color selection of colors so that they could be printed in black and white easily. You can download the preview and print a few pages to test it and see if it looks okay to you.

I love your store! I love the ideas from your Back to school mega packs. My classroom theme last year (and this one coming up, perhaps) was technology - computers, ipads, facebook, etc. I also love cats, but cannot find enough cat-themed materials to put together a cohesive unit. Do you have plans to make the back-to-school pack in other themes? I'd like to suggest a cat theme, or a technology theme. Thanks for all your creativity!

The reader's theater plays all have between 8 - 10 parts. If all you want is the reader's theater just email me at math_mojo@aol.com and I will just send it to you. The plays go with the theme of the units and I would hate for you to buy a whole unit for just the play. If you want the entire unit my two most popular are Camp End of the Year and Surfing Into Summer. It really comes down to your personal preference in terms of the themes of the units.

I taught 4th grade last year and this upcoming year I will be teaching 3rd and 4th. I purchased all of the Fraction, Measurement and Data, and Geometry task cards seperatly before realizing they were sold as a bundle. If I still need to purchase all of the OA and NBT task cards would it be better to continue to purchase them individually or purchase them as a bundle even though I already have a lot of them?

The bundle has a cover page for each set, but the background colorful digital paper isn't on it. I had to remove it to keep the file size below 100 MB. The cruise unit is a cruise theme. Some activities are the same or similar to the beach theme unit, but there are different math games, a different play, and several different science and social studies activities. The surfing beach theme pack has more beach items, a different play, and different games. It is really comes down to your personal preference. It depends on your kiddos! If they are higher third graders get this one. If they need more support purchase the one Trina Dralus made. If you buy her unit and find you want mine instead email me your date of purchase from Trina and your user name and I will send you mine. Trina and I work closely so it is not a problem at all if you find you want the other unit! They are similar.

Is there any chance if I ask sweetly you could adapt a few for us English peeps across the water please? I appreciate if this is not possible.
We use speech marks instead of quotation marks, and full stops instead of a period. This is just based on our APP which is what the kids are assessed on, and they understand as the language.
Again, I fully appreciate if this is not possible, but I would adore to be able to use the full set in my classroom, and these changes would allow this.

Right now my "to do" is pretty full so I am not sure if I will be able to make that product you asked about in the next few months. I will sit down with the standards this summer and see if that is something I am able to make!

I just purchased the 3.md.2 task cards and love them but noticed a couple ?question/mistakes??
-Would you look at card #14? Did you mean that there were 7 liters in each bucket, because third graders don't usually do 8 divided by 7?
-Card #8 has 4,000 mL as an answer choice twice.

Scoot is a game where you put a numbered card on each desk or student seat. All kids start at their own seat and work out the problem at their seat on a numbered recording sheet. After a specific amount of time the teacher says, "Scoot." When the teacher gives the signal, the kids move to the next seat and solve the problem at that seat and record the answer. They do this until they have solved the porblems at every seat. It sounds simple, but kids LOVE it and there is a high level of engagement! I have just purchased your AMAZING punctuation posters (super hero). They are fantastic!!!!
I'm not sure if this is possible, but is there any chance - Full Stop / Period Man could be changed? I'm from Australia and 'period' has other meanings here.
I clearly have no idea how hard this change would be to do .... if it's not to tricky I'd love to purchase the re-worded poster.

Hi there! I am wondering if you have sets of cards available that do not have the grade level on them? I often use these as an introduction or review lesson for struggling students in my fifth grade classroom, but I am finding that I am whiting out the grade 4 part each time so that the students won't be insulted by them ;-) I am in one of the 4 states without common core, so I completely understand if I should just purchase some more white out, but I figured that it never hurts to ask! Love all of your stuff!

Thank you for your kind comment about the task cards. I teach 4th grade so most of the materials I create are for grades 3 - 5. I have a partnership with another store (Trina Dralus). She creates primary items and I create intermediate items. Our stores have similar items, but hers are primary and mine are intermediate. She has started making some 2nd grade math task cards. I love your stuff. I did notice one mistake on the tunnel to the top for customary measures (actually, my class noticed). The feet to inches and yards to feet were off and had no matches. The ones that said feet, should be inches. The ones that said yards, should be feet. They still loved the game though. The metric tunnel to the top page is correct. I can't access the page to make the corrections. Could you send me a corrected version? Thank you

I have been teaching for 14 years. I LOVE to create high quality materials. I specialize in math games, cooperative learning items, and test prep. I have taught in 3 states and 2 countries. I have a M.Ed. in Elementary Education and National Board Certification (Middle Child Generalist).
MY TEACHING STYLE
I have taught in 6 different school in 3 states and 2 countries. Each school had a unique and varied approach. I have taught at an Arts Impact School, a Coalition for Essential School school, a school that was involved in an in depth study of the Reggio Emilia philosophy, and currently the school where I teach emphasizes high engagement, cooperative learning (Kagan Cooperative Learning).
