I have been a 4th grade classroom teacher for many years in a large urban school district. I am currently working as a mathematics coach in an urban elementary school. In my role as math coach I am able to help teachers be the best math teachers that they can while also helping our k-5 students gain a deeper understanding of the world of mathematics.

I believe that students should be actively engaged with mathematical thinking every moment of math instruction.
