I used tank top and turtleneck as synonyms for shirt. With the clothes set, I focused on using different kinds of clothing items and matching them with the simpler term (ex. Boots: cowboy boots, galoshes; Pants: clamdiggers, shorts)

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
3 years at 4 different elementary schools in NC.
MY TEACHING STYLE
Relaxed and fun! I try to create an environment where my ELLs feel comfortable speaking English or their native language. I do mostly literature based units to help my ELLs practice reading, gain vocabulary and build background. We do activities like ice cookies, make crafts, perform plays, and play games to give them experiences they probably do not have at home.
