I'm not sure if my last email went. It asked me to log in when I sent it. What kind of questions does this lesson have? Are they strictly comprehension, or do they include recognizing and explaining figurative language and sound devices?

Had a couple of quick questions about your "Much Ado" script. Where's scene 9? It says, Scene 9 The Party and immediately after, Scene 10 The Couples Collide. Also, is there a way to get around the formatting? Sometimes there is no space between the end of a scene and the start of a new one (or there might be a couple of lines I want to add), in which case I cannot edit the piece because hitting enter shifts the character names down...

Thanks

It would be nice if you would provide a key to this multiple choice test that you have provided. Since part of this is to make things faster and more efficient for others, a key would be helpful. Though I have read this numerous times, a key would be much appreciated, and I was hoping for one. Thanks.

Sure!

Once you open the file, begin the presentation.

Click once to move to the gameboard slide

When you are on the gameboard slide use your mouse to select the different categories. Hover the mouse over the number you want to select (the arrow becomes a hand) and click ONCE. This will take you to the corresponding slide.

Once you are done with the question, click on the "Back to the Gameboard" in the corner of the slide. This will take you back to the main gameboard.

Potpourri has random riddles/chance games. Most of them require the students to look at the picture(s) for a few moments and then click again to cover the picture. The students then must guess/answer the question about the picture. It's a silly category that breaks up the game a bit.

I usually follow these rules when the class plays:
--If the students play in teams, they must select a spokesperson who will be responsible for answering
--The students are not allowed to answer the question/raise their hands until I have finished reading the question.
--Only correct answers count (I don't take points off for incorrect answers).
--A team/student selects the category, but everyone gets a chance to anwers, just like real jeopardy.

When I go to the gameboard and click on a question, I get a slide that simply has asterisk marks. How do I get this to work?
May 11, 2009 Report inappropriate comment

Teacherwalker  (TpT Seller)
Once the slide show has begun you need to position the mouse over the number (100, 200, etc.) that you wish to select--these are hyperlinked to the slides. The cursor should look like a hand not an arrow. If your cursor is not positioned over the number correctly when you click, the show simply moves onto the next slide (That's the one the asterisks). I hope this helps--please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught for six years at a 9-12 rural school. Because I teach at a low-income school, I have had to create many of my own resources. I truly enjoy bringing my creativity into the class room and creating new ways to motivate and teach my students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

A little anarchic. I'm a very laid back teacher, as long as my students follow basic rules.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I attended the National Institute on Teaching Shakespeare in 2006.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a B.A. in English Literature, and am currently working towards my master's degree in English Literature.
