This is my 30th school year in an elementary school setting. My caseload has covered everything under the sun! Articulation, phonology, language, voice disorders, stuttering, autism, you name it!! I LOVE what I do!
I believe that children need to learn using a multi-modality approach. My lessons/activities are always creative, fun and exciting and presented in a way that is meaningful to my students. My goal is to help each and every student develop the speech and language goals necessary to successfully access the curriculum in school, and the world around them.
I received the Mimi-Katzen Memorial Award from the Long Islang Speech Language Hearing Association in 2006. "This award is given to an outstanding member, for their exceptional commitment to the needs of individuals with speech, language and hearing disorders."
B.S. in Speech Language Pathology, from Ithaca College in May1981 I graduated with a minor in Spanish M.A. from Hofstra University in December 1982
I have been working in the Merrick School District since January, 1982. I am an active member of the Long Island Speech Language Hearing Association. I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA. I have given numerous workshops and in-service classes, as well as being cited in a journal article and writing an article on listening skills for a parenting magazine.
