I have thought about that, but I haven't finished all of them yet and each file is so large by itself, that grouping them all together makes me nervous. I have been so busy this school year teaching and working on my MA full-time that I wasn't able to get all of the lessons completed. That was my goal though! Sometime during July I will be working on the lessons not posted. If you send me an e-mail, I would be more than happy to work out a package deal with you if you are trying to purchase them all. :) Thank you so much!

Yes, I will send them as soon as possible!! I send them through google drive and sometimes they do not open with school e-mail addresses. If for some reason you get the e-mails from google drive and you cannot open them, provide me with a different e-mail address like gmail/yahoo/etc... and those always work! I'm so sorry, but they just work for SMART Board. I've tried converting them to power point and all the interactive pieces not only don't work, but they also do not transfer well. All the interactive pieces have large question marks instead. Thank you for your interest in the lessons!

I do not have experience using a promethean board. This file was created for a smart board. My experience in trying to import smart board files into powerpoint has not been successful because the interactive pieces do not transfer and they import with a big symbol on the page instead of the interactive clipart. Hello! Thank you so much for your interest in the Journeys lessons! I just want to make sure you know they are created for use on Smart Boards, not PowerPoint. I am planning on finishing the missing lessons over the summer to have the whole set. I will also look into importing the Smart Board Notebook Files into PowerPoint over the summer. However, the lessons were created to be interactive and they cannot be in PowerPoint. Let me know if you have any other questions! :)

Hi! In the My Purchases tab they have been labeled "updated" because I typically fixed a page that was not working correctly or that had an error on it. You can click on a button that tells you why I updated it. :) Also, I posted my Lesson 16 that I had from last year a few days ago because I was not able to create a new one like lessons 1-15. I am so busy right now with teaching and working on my MA that I have had to slow down on creating smart board lessons. I feel awful! The week of February 18th I will be working on Lesson 20. I'm not sure I will have time for Lesson 21 this year or not. Also at this time, I'm not sure whether or not I will get to Lessons 26-30 this year. It might have to be a summer project depending on how busy I am. I will send an update when I know! :)

Hi! I'm so glad you are enjoying the lessons! I double checked and the dogs did do their dance on my computer for Lesson 12. For lesson 13 I could not find a page where I had flowers growing. What is the number of the slide you were thinking of? I will go take another look! I have two ideas for Lesson 12 though! One idea is I could e-mail you the lesson via Google drive and see if it works from my download. Or, I can tell you how to make the dogs spin (dance). You click on the dog, then you click on the Text tab on the far left sign of the screen (It has the A and the square with four colors). Then, click on object animation and for Type click on spin. Let me know what you would like to do! :)

My goal was to stay ahead with the lessons, but I'm afraid that I might not be able to continue doing that and I feel awful! 14 will be uploaded on Sunday and with my schedule right now I know I won't be able to complete 15 in one week. Hi! My second grade team piloted the Journeys series for my district so we worked really closely with the HM trainers and administrators during that first year of implementation. I taught 2nd grade the following year as well, and then switched to 3rd grade last year, so I've used the Journeys program for 3 years. This summer my husband's job moved us across the country and I am now teaching 2nd grade without a Smart Board! :( It's hard to go back after you are used to one! I keep on creating the Journeys smart board slides because I had so many requests to keep them going over the summer!
I really enjoyed Journeys, especially after having a really dated curriculum that we hardly used. Journeys provided that solid base that we were missing and a clear structure so we wouldn't miss any concepts. I loved the vocabulary cards with real pictures and how they were incorporated into all texts for each week. I think the important thing to note is that there is more material than you can teach in a week. We never taught every part each week, especially the writing. Sometimes, we took the writing process over two weeks or did our own depending on the time of year or what we were doing in Science and Social Studies. We just made sure we hit every mode of writing. I try to include as many components as I can in the weekly Smart Board slides so teachers can pick and choose what their students need. My goal is never to get to every slide. With the slides, my goal is to make Journeys more engaging for my students and I had great success with it. :)
We did not order the workbooks and we also didn't copy them very often. During guided reading our students who were not in reading group did The Daily 5, so the only workbook pages we used were a few spelling or grammar pages here and there. In groups we used the leveled readers, starting with the phonics skills and vocabulary words and focusing largely on the reading comprehension strategy for the week. Sometimes I even used the smart board for the phonics part if only one group needed the practice that week.

Great questions! You will know when they have been updated because I will write in the product description: "Updated as of ##/##/##" I am planning on including the same components that are included in lessons 1-12.
It's difficult to modify most of my slides because I have to take pictures of most slides for the fonts to show up on everyone's computer. Also, different graphic designers have different terms of use for using their graphics and would like me to take a snapshot of the whole page, so teachers cannot take the graphics out of the file. You can insert a box on top of parts of my page that you want to change to modify it or you can insert a new page. I could insert just a background page though for teachers to use to make their own slides.
Also, I gladly welcome suggestions! Feel free to offer ideas if there is a page you would like to see added in the lessons. :)

At my school we have adopted the Common Core Standards and have lengthened each Journeys lesson into 8 days for deeper comprehension and application from the lesson. So currently I am only beginning lesson 8. I hope this helps!

Ok. :) What lesson are you on? That way if I have extra time I can try to get a few ready here and there. I can convert the smart board slides to pdf's easily, but there are so many slides that are interactive with the white board that would not work as a pdf, so they would need to be changed a bit. I will try to get one ready though!

My shining teacher moment happened when I decided to make a switch from 2nd to 3rd grade. On our Ice Cream Social night, when students come to meet their teacher, one of my more challenging students from 2nd grade came running in enthusiastically. His mother told me that he had slept with the note I wrote to him on the last day of school for the entire summer. I was beaming! I am so grateful that his mother shared this story with me.
