I have started to utilize this daily during my afternoon centers. Students need to not only know what groups the foods they ate for snacks and lunches go into, they need to know how to use and read a graph. I teach high school special ed and nutrition has been a big theme for my students. Thanks.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been fortunate enough to have had many teaching experiences in my life. I have taught in PreK, Kindergarten, Second and Fifth grades. I've worked in both private and public school settings. I continue to tutor students of different ages in different content areas.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I believe whenever possible a teacher should be a facilitator. Someone who sparks the child's interest, provides them with materials and/or information, and then allows the child to have the experience. Children should be given the opportunity to truly discover things with teacher support, redirection and/or guidance.
HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT
I graduated Cum Laude with a double major in Elementary Education and Psychology. I have also been nominated for Teacher of the Year. I have had a poem I've written get published in a book and also made into a song.
MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
I have a BS in Education and Psychology.

I love creating my own materials. I have written a children's book that I use with my students every year.
