Fabulous resource for all, but especially new teachers!

Not worth $2. Only one page and explanation of activity is skimpy.

Good ideas about including timeline, hieroglyphics, etc. Need suggestions about the kinds of materials that will work to build the pyramid and average size of pyramid model.

questions are creative but choice of font difficult to read, would have liked more detailed directions, even a rubric would have been good

The activity looks great. I am looking forward to using it with my students next year. I have looked for something new to use for the Columbian Exchange and this is what I wanted.

Not sure at all how this is supposed to work. Directions unclear and there is no answer key.

A little heavy for 8th grade - but it would be useful in HS

Too wordy, no real sense of story. Just some random pictures showing immigrants.

If you take a look at the description, this is an image centered powerpoint for student analysis and spiral questioning. It is not designed as a complete set of lecture notes. Sorry it disappointed you!

was not useful, too many questions, no facts

Teachers,
Please read the descriptions for the items you consider purchasing. This is a powerpoint with "spiraling questions" for a student centered analysis activity, not lecture notes as available with my other powerpoints. All items have descriptions which specifically state the use for the item. Thank you for your purchases,
ML

Used in our interdiscipline math/ss class and went very well. Good facts and activities for students.

Very useful, but it would have been helpful to have some notes to indicate why you chose certain things to emphasize.

Great ppt.Wonderful outline of imperialism. A lot of information for the price.

This is much too simplistic for high school. I could have written this in 15 min. I am disappointed.

It is made for all levels as a review of content power point. My students complete class activities and most lectures are only for review or supplemental content. Sorry to disappoint you, but very comprehensive for my uses and very good for students of all levels for straight-forward explanation of a LOT of content!

Excellent way to layout so much information for a student review. I like the questions and answers. I thought the 25 slides with a topic on each was great for my unit finale. Thanks.

The Question and answer format is distracting. It is preferable to have a clearer outline.

This is an opener activity with 16 images to spark student discussion and comparison. If you are interested in lecture notes, they are listed with more content specific details. Sorry if wasn't what you expected.

a bit stark...certainly will be able to use it...but expected more information

For what it cost, I expected more than 8 slides. Also, this expects students to have a lot of background information about the time period for the questions to be even remotely useful. Not impressed.

Sorry you were disappointed. It is designed in the History Alive fashion for use with spiral questioning. This type of student-centered activity leads the students through cycles of analysis to come to the content. They are short in nature due to the process of analysis from simple to more in-depth. I also fill in much of the information needed by my students through oral introduction while we are viewing the images. Students seem to enjoy this format much more than traditional lectures. They retain more as well.

These are the TCI slides for unit for the "Aura of Camelot" lesson. For $2 easier than scanning the slides.

Thank you for these great pictures ready to go into my classroom. And thank you for the idea of using pictures to lead discussion lectures. The old powerpoints had left me boring my students and allowing them to just write from the slides. Much better idea here!

This piece of paper (and it is a single piece of paper) is a poorly created set of three political cartoons that don't print clearly, and comes with no instructions or directions. Even at $1.50, it's a rip-off. You should be posting clearer descriptions of the material so that one doesn't have to buy a product to know whether it's useful or not.
