If I like how they work and bring them to the rest of my grade level, is it possible to contact you to buy more licenses? I will be converting them to flipcharts for the promethean board, so I would just share my conversions if we like it, but would need to get more licenses, does that make sense? Please let me know.

Michelle...does this unit focus on the water cycle or on properties of water. Our standards do not have us discuss water as a gas...just as a solid and liquid and I'm having a hard time finding items that don't continue on to the state of gas. Thanks!

I took a closer look at your freebie smartboard lesson. I can open it . . . but all of the contents are left justified. I don't mind straightening them up . . . but I can't move the 'white' box containing print. So everything has to stay left justified. I am wondering if it is locked to the background pattern . . . or if it is an inserted picture?
Has anyone else using promethian (activ inspire) inquired about how to move the box? (All of the text and graphics move easily.)
I really hope to purchase both of your sets (k and first).

All text is placed inside a "text box" and locked into place....I'm not familar with the promethian product but maybe if you view the slides "full screen" it would help? I have tried googling a solution but I couldn't find any answers:(

The lessons are differrent...I based them exactly on the teachers guide for each grade level. There may be one or two lessons that review the same skill, but overall it is different. I use the kindergarten lessons alot during the first weeks of first grade:)

You can download the smart board software onto your computer for free. It won't be interactive without the board however. (you can always manipulate it with the computer mouse I guess.) Or you could use them in a small group using an iPad that has the software downloaded.

As far as I know you can download the smartboard software for free on your computers (I have it on my home computer) you would just have to teach the lesson with the kids around a smaller screen...I am not sure about an ipad but the software will probably download there too.

I just checked it out on two different computers and it downloaded fine. Do you have the smartboard software installed on the computer you are using to open the lesson with? You can download the software for free from the Smartboard site to use on your home computer. If you still cannot get it to work send me your email address and I will send it to you.

The Fountas and Pinnell lessons are very basic (almost a kindergarten review) of phonics and letter knowledge. I don't think they will get confused....I use this in addition to my Harcourt comprehension, vocabulary, and spelling. Enjoy your new smartboard:)

I think I will love your Fountas and Pinnell lessons for first grade on the Smartboard. However, it's difficult to preview them because they are zipped. Would you please send me a sample of a smartboard page for LS short or long u vowel? Or anything else that you think will help me confirm my purchase. Thanks!

MY TEACHING STYLE
I teach each student where they are. I try to motivate each child with subjects they are interested in. I use movement and music in my class as well as structured group activities 4 times a day which requires each student to take their turn being the "leader" of the day.
