TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I graduated in December 2011 with my degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Reading and Language Arts. Starting in January 2012 I began working in a Title 1 position with 42 at-risk students in grades 3-6. As of August of 2012, I now have my very own classroom teaching 4th grade in the Iowa City School District.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to keep learning fresh, fun, and interactive for my students. I enjoy spending time creating new materials to try out in my classroom. I LOVE when my kids help teach and drive lessons. It's so rewarding when students realize that school can be fun!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Our class worked very hard to win a SMARTBoard for our school. We also won an iPad for our classroom through the process as well.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from the University of Iowa with my degree in Elementary Education in December of 2011. Hoping to continue into my Masters within the next year or two!
