You're welcome. When rounding was one of my standards, the children struggled so much with it. However, when I thought of these and turned it into a game for approximately 5-10 minutes daily for a while it really helped. I saw much improvement in their understanding of rounding.

If you open the PowerPoint and just click on each picture without it being in view slide show, there are notes at the bottom of the screen below the picture. I didn't have them float in on the picture so that the students would be able to view the entire picture. I also thought this might also allow teachers just to preview it and add their own comments.
If you would prefer that the notes float in on the actual slideshow, please let me know. I will be glad to change it for you.

Does Pinterest take a lot of time to monitor and manage after your boards are organized, or is organizing your boards the hard part?

I am glad that you like the reading passages. I probably should have explained week #2, 12, 16, and 18 in my description. Due to having to collect beginning of the year assessment data, I taught the same social studies topic for two weeks, so I used the same reading passage for two weeks. Our school system is on a 160 day school calendar, and we teach for more hours each day, so week 12 fell as Thanksgiving week, so I did not introduce a new social studies topic that week. Therefore, I didn't write a social studies passage for that week. The social studies topic for week #15 was government services, and I taught that for two weeks, so I repeated the reading passage for that week. The social studies topic for week #17 was Franklin D. Roosevelt. I taught FDR for two weeks, so I used the same passage for week #17 and #18.
I apologize for the confusion. Thank you for asking the question. I will update my product description to reflect those weeks so that buyers will be aware of why there are no passages for those weeks.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I taught third grade for four years, and I am currently teaching fifth grade.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I try to use brain based strategies when developing my lesson plans. Using United Streaming video clips, teachertube videos, you tube videos, real world situations, and manipulatives has proven to be very successful for me. Keeping children actively involved in the lesson by using manipulatives, individual white boards, ActivBoard lessons, and a document camera is a priority for me when developing lessons. The learning village units have proven to be extremely helpful.

I am a member of Alpha Delta Kappa.
MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
I obtained my bachelor's degree from Dalton State University and my master's degree from Western Governor's University. I am currently working on my specialist degree through Piedmont College.
ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Teaching is a second career for me. I worked 20 years in the medical field, and then I chose to return to school for my teaching degree so that I could give back to my community.
