I purchased this lesson in hopes that it would work with the iPod Touch since I had already downloaded several news apps and newspapers. Just as I had hoped it work wonderfully. My students and I will enjoy this lesson that has a degree of differentiation for students at different levels of reading and comprehension. Will even try to had more technology by allowing some students to use and dictation app to write their event. Thanks Monica, your lessons look absolutely inspiring.

I purchased Learn the States to use in conjunction with our present social studies textbook. It teaches the U.S. Regions and this lesson will work well with each of the regions as we travel across the U.S. This lesson infuses technology with use of the iPad or the iPod Touch with use of an app. My students will love learning through use of their iPods.

We will actually use this complete lesson Monday, but already students have enjoyed testing the QR reader app with the codes included. We have just started using iPads in our class. I am now excited to learn how to create my own QR. Additionally, I really appreciate the choices for differentiation within your assignment, as I teach several levels of student within the same subject.

I'm intrigued by the iPad lessons you post, but what I need is less of the lesson part and more of the "how on earth can you do this on iPads?" The lesson ideas,I have, but at the moment, my iPad from school is more effective as a paperweight since I can't figure out how to use it. I'm looking for more of the how to make the iPad work. Does this product show you how to take movies and (I hope) move them to a technological place where you might be able to show them via some sort of projector? Or make DVDs of them?

Great question! My blog: ClassTechTips.com has lots of "How-Tos" for different free apps. Each lesson has a list of steps to follow for each app it features, and extra tips when needed. This lesson works with the Toontastic app, which has a great in-app tutorial for making movies. Download the free app on your iPad and try it out - with this app you can only project your student creations via the Toontastic website (you set up an account and it saves them all there). If you want to do a lesson with your students that aligns this app to the Common Core Standards, that's where I come in :) Hope this answers your question!
