Are there supposed to be pictures? There are boxes throughout the whole file, but no pictures.

Hi Sandra! I like using Pages on my MacBook - it gives a more flexibility than Microsoft Word.

Marie Johnston  (TpT Seller) re: ELA on iPads Bundle #2 (Common Core Aligned!)
Hi Monica,
A few questions-are the story frames included in the apps or are your sample pages frames that the kids use to create on the app?
Also, I have a set of 6 iPads that my students share in response- to-intervention small groups-will the apps you have included save more than one students work?
Thanks

Monica Burns - ClassTechTips iPad Lessons
Hi Marie,
My lesson plans include activity sheets that can be completed along with the app - sometimes they'll be planning on paper before using the app, other times they'll be writing as they work through an app, and some activity sheets can be used as extension activities or as homework. Most of the apps let students save work within the app or easily take a screenshot to revisit later. Hope this is helpful :)

Thanks Monica for the re-upload. I now have the full 82 pages. The PPT was well worth the money I paid for it. I can now give your PPT a fair rating.

I ordered and downloaded your Free Apps for the K-5 Classroom PowerPoint. On the TPT site, it said the PPT had 82 pages. My downloaded PPT only had 29 slides. Did I miss something? Also, my 29 page PPT only has apps in it. I do not see any student work examples as promised either.

So sorry about that - let me re-upload the content right now so you can download the much larger file. It should send you an email right away that there is a "new/updated" product to download. Thank you :)

Angela G. re: Holiday History - Thanksgiving: QR Scanner Scavenger Hunt
Hi,

I noticed this product says it is for Ipads, is the only thing that needs an Ipad the QR reader? I have laptops and the students use their phones with the reader. Would I still be able to use this hunt? Also, the reading that is involved in this hunt, is it nonfiction?

Thank you for your time.

Great question! All scavenger hunts will work with any mobile device that has a QR scanner app - smartphones and Android tablets work perfectly!

How appropriate is this bundle for 4th grade students? Is it hands-on or worksheet driven?
August 13, 2013 Report inappropriate comment
Monica Burns - ClassTechTips iPad Lessons
This bundle is definitely appropriate for fourth graders. It is very hands-on with support for different iPad apps and iPad activities and has worksheets that are perfect to support in-class work or used for homework.

I know this may be a silly question but what does KBAD stand for?

KBAD just means "know and be able to do" similar to SWBAT "students will be able to" - hope this is helpful :)

With a 5 minute intro the "hunt" should take 40 minutes. It includes 3 leveled scavenger hunts and an extension activity for fast finishers/homework :)

You title has peaked my interest. I can't tell from your brief description how the iPad works into this product. Would you mind being a bit more specific so I can determine if this will meet the standards for Vermont for my grade level. What are they actually recording on the iPads? What app will they need to do the work?

Hi Crystal! Since my lesson plans are concise I offer a snapshot of the KBAD and CCLS so that teachers can make sure that the lesson will work with their students. Check out my free lesson plan for an idea of how my lessons are outlined. Each lesson has a different number of activity sheets that go with it. Here's a link to my free lesson plan: http://bit.ly/PKvmsm Hope this helps :)

I wrote a grant for iPads for my class-I received 8! I teach 6th, 7th, & 8th grade SS (Ancient World History, Civics, and US History-exploration-Civil War). So far I've used them for research and a scavenger hunt--looking at your lessons intrigued me--I'll watch for the bundle deals! Anything with my subject matter would be great! Thanks!

Janice T. re: Write a Story: Create a Movie of Your Tale (on iPads!)
I'm intrigued by the iPad lessons you post, but what I need is less of the lesson part and more of the "how on earth can you do this on iPads?" The lesson ideas,I have, but at the moment, my iPad from school is more effective as a paperweight since I can't figure out how to use it. I'm looking for more of the how to make the iPad work. Does this product show you how to take movies and (I hope) move them to a technological place where you might be able to show them via some sort of projector? Or make DVDs of them?

Monica Burns - ClassTechTips iPad Lessons
Great question! My blog: ClassTechTips.com has lots of "How-Tos" for different free apps. Each lesson has a list of steps to follow for each app it features, and extra tips when needed. This lesson works with the Toontastic app, which has a great in-app tutorial for making movies. Download the free app on your iPad and try it out - with this app you can only project your student creations via the Toontastic website (you set up an account and it saves them all there). If you want to do a lesson with your students that aligns this app to the Common Core Standards, that's where I come in :) Hope this answers your question!
