I'm a 25+ year veteran with experience in nearly every grade K-8 in the same small district in California. The last decade or so I've been happily teaching first and second graders. I've also taught the primary reading course to credential candidates at the graduate level at SFSU. I have lots of experience in early literacy and teaching English Learners.
My style is child-centered. I believe in meeting children wherever they are and discovering and working with their individual interests using fun, creative and literature-based approaches. We read, write, think critically and mathematically, sing, dance and discover a little more of the world each and every day.

I hold a B.S. in Human Development from the University of California, Davis, a M.Ed. in Language & Literacy form San Francisco State University, a California multiple subjects credential, CLAD certification and a Reading Resource Specialist credential.
