I don't use a behavior calendar at all. With the reminders I see them as part of us creating a student lead classroom. They are really just between the student and me unless they don't correct the behavior. That's where the oops book come into play.

Hi Monica! I purchased your Thundercake book study and noticed that the word thunder is listed twice on the vocabulary page. Also, on the Onomatopoeia page, in the first sentence, the second "the" should be "that". Would you be able to make these changes so that I can redown load it? I have 24 kids so I used small dixie cups and a small bag of soil. I used around 10 packs of seeds. I also went around after all the kiddos left and sprinkled a few seeds on top and mixed them in a bit just to be sure. I was thinking this year I might use wild flowers. I think you can get big bags of those at your garden store. You are going to love the look on their faces!

Sure...it is really simple. Just cut up some fruit like strawberries, apples, melon, pineapple and slide them on skewers. Add a Peep at the top:) I also run a chocolate fountain but that is not necessary. Just delicious!

I use the Gail Gibbons book to introduce Baseball. I usually start with the KWL to asses prior knowledge. It is included. We then work the anticipation guide. We read through the fact sheet included and then add to our W and L part of our KWL. The book gives good history for the student to begin learning about the topic. I hope this helps. Monica

I teach 2nd grade and we really focused on understanding where we lived. Meaning how our town/city connected to our state and country. We also focused on cardinal directions. I posted North, South, East, and West in our classroom and I gave directions through out the day asking them to move to the West side of the room or meet me in the North. I hope this helps:)

I have not found where I can access the video. Keep in mind I am not good with computers and if there is a way to miss something or mess something up I will, so it is probably me not knowing what to do.

I have been trying to download the video that is referenced in Classroom Management: Beyond Flipping Cards. but have been uable to do so. When I click on the link I get the book, but not the video. What do I need to do differently to access the video?

I noticed on your blog that you have a land form book. Do you have a template for this book? I went on The Schroeder Page but could not find a template. I would love my second graders to make it and I am not very creative.
