TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm an English teacher who has taught for fifteen years--I'm also a writer who dabbles in mixed-media art. I love to infuse creative projects into my classroom, as well as host creative writing challenges for my students. My philosophy is that learning goes down better with some fun and a small snack.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love the Great Books theory of teaching in which students get to enjoy meaningful discourse. I am discussion-to-practice-to-discussion based; I like to have my students "Choose Their Own Adventure" and work on assignments in an order/ fashion that suits their needs on occasion. I respect my students and enjoy the reciprocity of that feeling.
