I use the pictures to break down the meaning of LCM and GCF. Least-smallest Common-Same Multiple-multiples/skip counting...
GCF: Greatest factor in Common: Greatest-largest number Common-that is the same Factor-of all the math facts that make the numbers you are comparing. What are the math facts for 8?...1x8, 2x4
Once you teach the concepts you can use this sheet to do daily spiral reviews.
I apologize if this worksheet was not what you expected. Let me know if you would like any more information.

Yes that is exactly how they do it. Some of them have more then one match. The triangle for instance students match use cards to label the hypotenuse and the legs as well as a, b and c. If you find any and are unsure of the match let me know. I usually time the students and have them do it each week. It is amazing how quickly they will master it.

Hi there. I just purchased your scientific notation game and have a couple of questions.
When a students rolls their dice...lets say they get a 2 and a 4....where do they mark this on the score sheet?
Do they put it on the _ _ _ _ lines or somewhere else?
Also, do you find it works best when they are just multiplying by 10 or do you sometimes put an exponent after the 10?
I just need a little more guidance I guess.
Any help would be appreciated!

Mrs. G, No rush on the last few Modules, just wanted to know if they were waiting in the wings. We won't get to Module 9 until after Christmas. Tell me about the beginning of the school year! You'd think it would get easier with every passing year, but it doesn't!

How awesome your products look to a homeschooler that is not a science teacher! I am excited to be teaching anatomy in co-op this year , but is is definitely out of my history/ literature box! Do you plan on adding Power Point presentations for modules 11-16? And I purchased your "Key Note for Module 1" this morning and am having trouble down loading the Power Point as it is listed as a .key document. What program opens a .key document?

I have the activities for the various properties. This concept is often very difficult for all learners. A couple of things I would do is take a group of students and have them walk out the properties. In your situation you could take objects like blocks or dolls. For instance, the distributive property 5(4+6). Take something that represents the 5 and move it to the 4 and then move it to the 6. Using the words I am going to distribute this. You could also discuss other things that are distributed ie; mail, newspapers...
Commutative: I would take some numbers in the problem and put them on different cards 5+4=9, then have the students commute them 4+5=9 and recognize how commuting these numbers does not change the outcome. Discuss the meaning of the word commute. "I commute to work" What does that mean I move from one place to the other...
You can then write various examples of these problems and have your daughter classify them.
Associative is the same only these deal with associations. In math this means there is going to be parenthesis. Once again have a set of numbers. Perhaps you could use a piece of string for parenthesis. When she moves the string/parenthesis to associate different numbers this will help her see that the answers are still the same
9+4+3=16
(9+4)+3=16
9+(4+3)=16
Repetition Repetition Repetition of both words and actions will help your daughter.
