I have experience teaching Biology (General Education and Inclusion), Chemistry (General Education and Inclusion), Physical Science (General Education and Inclusion), Physics (Honors), Zoology (General Education and Inclusion), AP Environmental Science, and Marine Ecology.
I use a combination of self-created PowerPoints and hands-on experience to teach my students. This style has proven very effective, as my students are consistently among the top-scoring in my school district on state standardized tests.

I am a marine-ecologist-turned science teacher. In my four years of teaching, I have taught Chemistry, Physical Science, Biology, Zoology, Physics, and Research II. Next year, I will add AP Environmental Science to this list! For each of these classes, I have designed a pacing guide and curriculum around the Georgia Performance Standards. Many textbook and online labs/lessons do not provide the level of rigor and inquiry that I require in my classes, so I often design my own labs and lessons. My Chemistry, Physical Science, Biology, Zoology, and Research II curriculum are now the basis for science curriculum at area high schools and my Zoology curriculum is also being used at an area charter school for their Zoology classes.
