Hi Mrs. Phippen!

I downloaded your cards, but when I opened the files, there were no letters (just some black blocks under a couple of the letters). Are these cards suppose to include the letter on them? Maybe it's my computer :S

Thanks in advance :)

Try opening the file in Adobe Reader. If you open it in Preview it'll make the weird black smudgey boxes.

Possibly. It'll probably take some time since I'm swamped with regular teaching stuff right now but I'm interested in doing a Spanish version if you're willing to help me with the language part. :)

Thanks very much! I got it. I'm so excited to put this up in my room. I teach first grade and this is so age appropriate.

I just purchased this and it keeps saying I need a zipper to open it. Do you know what this is? I've purchased several things before and have never run into this problem. Thanks.

It is a zip file. You should be able to right click and hit extract all to load the files on to your computer. The reason it's a zip file is the file is too large just to post straight. Try extracting them and see if that works.

I am so sorry you are correct about the apostrophe!
I did purchase your product and just thought you should know about how the polka dot black borders turn out on the printer.
Once again thank you!

Thank you for your comments and question. The digital paper I used to create the black and white polka dot background actually has a distressed look to it. It is not completely solid, it's supposed to look a bit worn. I hope this clarifies your question. I can even email you a copy of the paper so we can double check that the issue is just actually the look of the paper instead of another issue all together.

I checked my printer
Your borders are smeared looking and not totally black(look at screen shot)
Just thought you would want to know and if any others had the same comment
Also the writer's eye without apostrophe and could penmanship be "my neatest writing"?
Thank you for your fabulous idea

Can you resend the page that reads "Good writers use their Writer's Eye but remove the apostrophe from the first word writers? There shouldn't be an apostrophe there.

Thanks!

I have the digital files done! Woo hoo! I'm just working on the how to part. I just gathered all the supplies to do a photo tutorial on how to create the big glasses. I'm hoping to have it all on TpT by the end of the week. UPDATE... I just got the Writer's Eye product up on TpT. I also have a photo tutorial on my blog. Hip hip hooray!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

When I was in second grade I had the greatest teacher in the whole wide world. She was inspirational to me and I knew when I grew up I wanted to be just like Mrs. Hattin. In her second grade class is where I started my teacher training and today I still hope to be the teacher that she was. I am currently in the middle of my eighth year teaching first grade and I can honestly say I love my job.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in educating children, not training them. Therefore I try to use methods and elements in my teaching that will impact children's desire to learn more and make them actually think. I believe in team work, creativity, and utilizing multiple intelligences to reach the little ones I have the pleasure of teaching. Laugh while you learn to love learning is what I say!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

A few of my first graders have named me "The Best Teacher in the Whole Wide World" if that means anything... wink, wink.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

*Associates in General Studies from Ricks College, Rexburg, Idaho and Mesa Community College, Mesa, Arizona *Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Ottawa University, Phoenix, Arizona *Started my Masters degree at Arizona State University and still working on it!

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a married mother of three children ages 0, 5, and 6 years old. I am an Arizona native and I enjoy playing guitar, reading, creating, and camping.
